We bought our first ridgeback in 1996. Since then we have lived and loved this breed for the last 20 years. At present we have three living with us as family, the handsome Mr. Darcy, Layla and Henna. They are wonderful dogs to live with and do so enrich our lives. Seven years ago I started showing with great results. Darcy and Layla have Championship status with Junior Warrents and Show Certificates of Merit and Henna not to be out done has her Stud Book Number. I love the show scene, making new friends and having a good day out. (Especially if you win) We are members of the Midland & .... (click to read more)

I have owned 2 wonderful Ridgeback dogs in the past, sadly passed on.
My partner and I have a home based business, I work part time as a nurse. We live on the scenic Isle of Anglesey with our beautiful Ridgeback bitch Nyah..which aptly means'chosen one'. I could not have wished for a more beautiful dog, for her excellent temperament and perfect Ridgeback traits and looks.
She was bred by a close friend with the same passion for Ridgebacks, who owns her parents and sister, so I am closely familiar with her whole family, who we visit regularly.
We have been very lucky to find a .... (click to read more)

In 2002 we purchased our first Rhodesian Ridgeback, Jarhiba Gyasi from the Jarhiba Kennels. From the moment we brought her home she settled into our family as though she had always been there. She shares our love of horses, which also are included in our lives.

We wanted Gyasi to have a doggy companion so in late 2004 after carefull planning we mated her to Champion Gunthwaite ActionMan from the renouned Gunthwaite kennels. From this litter we kept Afreya. Mother and daughter do everything together and are constant companions for our son and his friends.

We are fortunate to live .... (click to read more)

Mutoko is the registered affix of Philomena Nash. Owner of Rhodesian Ridgebacks, I have been involved with Ridgebacks for about 17 years, I became involved in the show scene around 1999 and was instantly hooked. I am situated in the beautiful countryside of North Shropshire, all my dogs live in the house, but spend most of their days outside with me, looking after our other animals and tending to the veggies (of course only when it's dry). My girls are first and foremost family members, showing is a hobby which we all enjoy, we occasionally breed when we want to add a new member to the .... (click to read more)

We first encountered Ridgebacks in 1989 during a trip to South Africa but, for all sorts of reasons waited 20 years before 'switching' to this wonderful breed. My wife and I are both professionals with busy working lives so needless to say we adore the companionship, loyalty and endless hours of fun that we get from our pair who have recently produced a beautiful litter. The dam is absolutely adorable - demure yet fiercely protective. The big guy on the other hand is so laid back that he can sleep standing up - until, that is, he sees a rabbit and then all hell breaks loose! Wish we hadn't .... (click to read more)
