We bought our first ridgeback in 1996. Since then we have lived and loved this breed for the last 20 years. At present we have three living with us as family, the handsome Mr. Darcy, Layla and Henna. They are wonderful dogs to live with and do so enrich our lives. Seven years ago I started showing with great results. Darcy and Layla have Championship status with Junior Warrents and Show Certificates of Merit and Henna not to be out done has her Stud Book Number. I love the show scene, making new friends and having a good day out. (Especially if you win) We are members of the Midland & .... (click to read more)

Hi, My name is Karen Thompson. I live in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England with my husband Steve and our four children. I have shared my life with dogs since I was a child owning quite a few different breeds. We decided on a Rhodesian Ridgeback as the breed to add to our family in 2010. We were won over by the breed characteristics and have never looked back. They are an intelligent, mischievous, loyal, brave, dignified and sensitive breed and make a cherished family member.

I have owned Rhodesian Ridgebacks for 45 years. I own the Sire and the Dam of this litter both of which are of Eilack breeding by the late Jack and Pat Selby.
It was Pat Selby's last wish before she died in 2014 that this litter would be produced and so I have followed through her wishes.
We have had 12 lovely puppies.

I bred my first litter in 2009 and kept a lovely bitch to breed from. My girls live with my husband and I and 3 children (now all nearly grown up) in Surrey and are adored by all of us.

They are true to Breed Standard and have wonderful temperaments. They love nothing more than bounding around the Surrey Hills where we live and .... (click to read more)

Although our principal interest is in breeding lovely ridgebacks to show, we sometimes have pet ridgebacks suitable for family homes.

Our aim is to breed typical dogs, sound in both mind and body.

Bought my first Ridgeback in 1981 while living in South Africa - SHANDY was a wonderful companion. Born in 1991, WHISKY was my African Gentleman & an excellent foundation dog; then I was blessed with a perfect mate in RYE from the JANAK kennel. From our first litter in 1994, BEAUJOLAIS was a great show dog, sire of champions and my soul mate. We have enjoyed much success in the showring; essentially, our dogs are happy pack members who have taught us the importance of leadership & understanding.
