    Hello! My name is Kim Hodge. I live in Derbyshire, England with my beautiful pack of Rhodesian Ridgebacks, who are delightful, well socialized hounds. I have owned Ridgebacks since 2004 and in that time have bred three healthy happy litters.

    Between them my pack have 15 competition titles to their names. Rio finished 2012 as the UK's Top Rhodesian Ridgeback, 2011 as the UK's joint Top Rhodesian Ridgeback and finished 2010 ranked as America's No. 4 Rhodesian Ridgeback bitch.

    We are Alison and Stuart Pearce.Our affix is Msingi which in swahili means Genesis or beginnings. We are members of the kennel club Assured Breeders scheme. We got our first Ridgeback in 1994 and absolutely love the breed. We are owned by 6 RR's, Faze, Axel, Ruma, Tabu, Halo and Zuri.     The Kelshanti Kennel was established in 2007 with our first litter from Polly (Africaner Sahara Sunset). The Kelshanti Kennel originates from the Hespa lines owned by Mrs Gillian Craven.
    In August 2007 we started showing two puppies from Polly's litter, both did extremely well. Zula had a litter in 2010 and two of them are now showing. All our dogs live in our house, they are very spoilt and remain very much part of our family.

    We have owned and shown Rhodesian Ridgebacks since 1977 and been members of the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Great Britain for over 35 years and the Southern Rhodesian Ridgeback Assn. for over 15 years, and abide by the club's Code of Ethics.     Tara was our first Ridgeback. Like many Ridgeback owners we fell in love with the breed and added Toffi to our family three years later. Two years ago we decided to keep Bruce one of Tara's first and only litter.

    All of our dogs are family pets, sofa hounds. They have lovely temperaments, are used to being handled, athletic and kept fit walking free in the countryside around our village.

    I purchased my first Rhodesian Ridgeback in 2007 after breeding Labradors. Having looked after puppies I had bred for clients when they went on holiday the word went round and I ended up looking after a gorgeous boy and fell in love with the breed.

    I bred my first litter in 2009 and kept a lovely bitch to breed from. My girls live with my husband and I and 3 children (now all nearly grown up) in Surrey and are adored by all of us.

    I acquired my first Rhodesian Ridgeback, “star”, in 1998 after visiting crufts in 1997 and seeing this beautiful breed in the flesh for the first time.

    It wasn't long before Luke (v'grae Luke at lionpride) came along and the start of both my showing career and breeding this beautiful breed began.

    We first encountered Ridgebacks in 1989 during a trip to South Africa but, for all sorts of reasons waited 20 years before 'switching' to this wonderful breed. My wife and I are both professionals with busy working lives so needless to say we adore the companionship, loyalty and endless hours of fun that we get from our pair who have recently produced a beautiful litter. The dam is absolutely adorable - demure yet fiercely protective.
