Bought my first Ridgeback in 1981 while living in South Africa - SHANDY was a wonderful companion. Born in 1991, WHISKY was my African Gentleman & an excellent foundation dog; then I was blessed with a perfect mate in RYE from the JANAK kennel. From our first litter in 1994, BEAUJOLAIS was a great show dog, sire of champions and my soul mate. We have enjoyed much success in the showring; essentially, our dogs are happy pack members who have taught us the importance of leadership & understanding. Thomas started showing Rye @ CRUFTS when he was only 4, but he needed a smaller dog of his own; .... (click to read more)

We encourage prospective buyers to meet us and our dogs prior to going on our waiting list . We do not show our dogs , simply because it doesn't appeal to us , they are just our loving family pets that live a fantastic life with us in the Kent countryside .

We acquired our first Rhodesian Ridgeback, Oka, in 2002 and it wasn't long before we became totally hooked on the breed. We only showed her lightly due to the commitments of our young family. She has an outstanding temperament and is wonderful with our children.

In 2004 we purchased our second Ridgeback, Kojo, with a serious view to competing in the show ring, and he has met all our expectations. He won Best in Show at the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Great Britain Open Show from over 100 entries in June 2006. This win followed a Best in Show win at Witney & District Open Show and final .... Hi, My name is Karen Thompson. I live in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England with my husband Steve and our four children. I have shared my life with dogs since I was a child owning quite a few different breeds. We decided on a Rhodesian Ridgeback as the breed to add to our family in 2010. We were won over by the breed characteristics and have never looked back. They are an intelligent, mischievous, loyal, brave, dignified and sensitive breed and make a cherished family member.

I purchased my first Rhodesian Ridgeback in 2007 after breeding Labradors. Having looked after puppies I had bred for clients when they went on holiday the word went round and I ended up looking after a gorgeous boy and fell in love with the breed.

I bred my first litter in 2009 and kept a lovely bitch to breed from. My girls live with my husband and I and 3 children (now all nearly grown up) in Surrey and are adored by all of us.

They are true to Breed Standard and have wonderful temperaments. They love nothing more than bounding around the Surrey Hills where we live and .... (click to read more)

We have owned and shown Rhodesian Ridgebacks since 1977 and been members of the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Great Britain for over 35 years and the Southern Rhodesian Ridgeback Assn. for over 15 years, and abide by the club's Code of Ethics. My dogs live in the house and are not kennelled. Although they have had some great successes in the showring, both here and abroad, they are firstly treasured companions. This is not a commercial kennel and litters are only bred occasionally when I want a puppy for myself, all are hip and elbow scored, and temperament is top priority. Although Ridgebacks .... Rhodesian Ridgebacks have been in our family for over 50 years & I personally have been owned by various ridgebacks for approximately 25years. All our dogs are a much loved part of our family and all live very happily together within our home. Everyone has their own special personality and their own way of doing things. They are a very versatile hound as long as you don't forget that they are a hound. Our dogs are very spoilt and do live a very comfortable life having their own garden. They are a great joy to have around our household and have given us all many laughs. Their unconditional .... (click to read more)

We first encountered Ridgebacks in 1989 during a trip to South Africa but, for all sorts of reasons waited 20 years before 'switching' to this wonderful breed. My wife and I are both professionals with busy working lives so needless to say we adore the companionship, loyalty and endless hours of fun that we get from our pair who have recently produced a beautiful litter. The dam is absolutely adorable - demure yet fiercely protective. The big guy on the other hand is so laid back that he can sleep standing up - until, that is, he sees a rabbit and then all hell breaks loose! Wish we hadn't .... (click to read more)
