We have owned and shown Rhodesian Ridgebacks since 1977 and been members of the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Great Britain for over 35 years and the Southern Rhodesian Ridgeback Assn. for over 15 years, and abide by the club's Code of Ethics. My dogs live in the house and are not kennelled. Although they have had some great successes in the showring, both here and abroad, they are firstly treasured companions. This is not a commercial kennel and litters are only bred occasionally when I want a puppy for myself, all are hip and elbow scored, and temperament is top priority. Although Ridgebacks .... Bought my first Ridgeback in 1981 while living in South Africa - SHANDY was a wonderful companion. Born in 1991, WHISKY was my African Gentleman & an excellent foundation dog; then I was blessed with a perfect mate in RYE from the JANAK kennel. From our first litter in 1994, BEAUJOLAIS was a great show dog, sire of champions and my soul mate. We have enjoyed much success in the showring; essentially, our dogs are happy pack members who have taught us the importance of leadership & understanding. Thomas started showing Rye @ CRUFTS when he was only 4, but he needed a smaller dog of his own; .... (click to read more)

My love of the breed started more than 15 years ago having met my first Ridgeback on holiday in Cornwall. I finally acquired my first ridgeback (Rubi) in 2003 and what an addition she was! Since then, I have been totally hooked on the breed. I have been a member of the Southern Rhodesian Ridgeback Association and The Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Great Britain for approximately 10 years.

My girls live in the house with me and are my most most treasured companions. They have both been shown at Championship level, with great success. Both have gained their Kennel Club Stud Book Number. I .... (click to read more)

Hi we are a small kennel in the heart of Scotland. We have a variety of animals including Horses, Chickens, Cats and Rabbits on our wee farm. In amongst our variety of animals, we have our fantastic dogs, Rhodesian Ridgebacks. We got our 1st ridgeback 9 years ago and from then on there has been no other breed. They are magnificant dogs and we pride ourselves on ridgebacks. Their temperaments are second to none and live on the farm harmoniously with all our other animals. We enjoy showing our dogs when our busy schedule allows and always come out of the ring smiling.

I purchased my first Rhodesian Ridgeback in 2007 after breeding Labradors. Having looked after puppies I had bred for clients when they went on holiday the word went round and I ended up looking after a gorgeous boy and fell in love with the breed.

I bred my first litter in 2009 and kept a lovely bitch to breed from. My girls live with my husband and I and 3 children (now all nearly grown up) in Surrey and are adored by all of us.

We purchased our first Ridgeback in 1996 who was a ‘liver nose’, and although we did not obtain her with a view to taking her into the show ring, the bug didn’t take long to bite!
Since then we have added to our furry family and now have a full four generations in our Kennels.
We are regularly seen at shows both in the U.K. and on the Continent having achieved many awards including a Group Placing in The Republic of Ireland and a C.A.C.I.B in France to add to the many other awards including the Champion Title gained in the U.K.

First and foremost we value temperament as we have .... (click to read more)
