We are a small kennel that strives to continue the traditional qualites of this extra-ordinary breed. We are situated in the small Village of Stocksbridge, nestled in the valley of STEEL, South Yorkshire.

We first became infactuated with this breed in the early nineties and haven't looked back since then. Description
Our Bulldogs live with us inside our home raised in a loving environment as one of the family. I believe this approach is reflected in the behaviour of our dogs.

PUPPIES: Only carefully planned puppies are born at Durham Stars.
My females are not bred to the most convenient dogs, but to sires which i think will compliment them.

All our dogs are first and foremost pets and live with us in the home. We have been showing Whippets for the last three years and have recently started showing our Cardigan Welsh Corgi. We also own two Pugs and a Patterdale Terrier, neither of which we show or breed from. All three of our show dogs have qualified for Crufts and have had several wins at open shows and numerous placings at championship shows. We also take our Whippets to East Anglian Whippet Racing Club meetings on a regular basis which they thoroughly enjoy and prove they are fit for function. We are very proud of what we have .... we are fairly new to showing having only been exhibiting for 3 and a half years. Our first pug did quite well in the show ring, she is now 4 and has bred some stunning pups. Her first litter she had 3 pups and their first show was Border Union, the bitch from the litter got a 1st and the 2 boys were 4th & 5th. They have since all won at champ shows and all qualified for crufts. We have had our beautiful little pug for 4 years, Nellie being our first, prior to this we had Bullmastiffs and we decided to go for the smaller breed when we purchased our next dog, this was one of the reasons for choosing the pug as well as being sociable within a family environment, other than how cute they are.
Our dogs have always been part of the family and are treated in same way as my children.
Nellie enjoys her little walks around the parks and almost collapses when she get home from a long hike.
