Although I do not show my dogs, they have all been chosen for temperament, being "true to type" and having correct conformation. They are all very affectionate, both to each other and with people. The greatest risk one has when coming to see them is to get mugged for fuss. All my dogs are used to socialising with the puppies before they are sold and usually it is Mum, whoever it is at the time, who sneaks off when the pups are outside. I had my first miniature poodle in 1963, bred from her 3 years later and kept 2 puppies. Over the years the numbers have increased - a long living breed, my oldest is now 17. The Poodle is truly a wonderful dog to live with so, apart from owning and showing a Shih Tzu, a Chinese Crested and now "Devon"a Japanese Spitz, I have concentrated on black and brown miniatures as companions and show dogs.
Since 1980 my dogs have indulged my Show interest by qualifying, and hence letting me take them to Crufts, in most cases also gaining their Stud Book numbers.

I love all dogs, however, there is one that rules my heart and that is the Poodle.

My latest little Poodle is a lovely Blue girl by the name of Deedee. A mischief in a dog coat on 4 legs, a delight and sometimes a little madam too.

I will not cross breed, recently we had to have our lovely stud dog castrated on due to testicular cancer, this broke our hearts, but also we had to think of him first and make sure he was going to be healthy after the operation. Our dogs are first and formost family pets and we enjoy spending time showing them. We have been showing Vizslas for 5 years and our miniature for 4 years, we have had plenty of success up and down the country as well as in Ireland having made up 2 Irish Champions.
Although Showing is a bit more of a challenge nowerday with the arrival of our son but we hope he'll follow us in being a dog lover and maybe he'll enjoy a bit of showing as well.

After spending 2 1/2 years in the very hot & sunny Spain,helping out in dog rescue, the dogs have packed their cases and weve returned home to the lovely cool U.K. We made some fantastic friends in Spain and hope to keep in touch and occassionally return to help manage the rescue kennels.

All our boys and girls are pets & live in the house, not kennels and are fun happy little dogs with 100% excellent temperaments . My family has had poodles since before I was born, right back in the late
fifties.

When I was born we already had a black miniature bitch, then we had a white toy called Tess. She soon became my dog, and a lifelong love of the poodle began.
I started showing in 1994, adding the Lhasa Apso to the poodle family in 2003. I firmly believe that dogs should definitely be "fit for function, fit for life" and with this in mind I have just joined the Kennel Club Accredited Breeder Scheme.

we have breed goldens for the last 10 years. we just have them as pets.at the moment we only have one bitch to breed off. our puppies have mainly gone to pet home with the exception of a couple that have gone on to work and do agility trials.we have had alot of good feed back over the years with many photos and letters on progress of the puppies.we have just become accredited breeders with the kennel club so we test eyes hips etc'.
