I have been breeding dogs for nearly 40 years and had my first Japanese in 1985.
I have champions in many countries throughout the world and there is now a huge Houndbrae family of pet and show dog owners alike. The Houndbrae puppies are bred in a family unit and are played with by children from an early age. This is what makes the Houndbrae Japanese Spitz so special.
With careful breeding we endeavour to breed healthy dogs with good a temperament.

I live on a dairy farm in Gloucestershire. My first breed was the Akita I had 5 in total over a period of 16 years. Four years ago my husband Mark bought me my first Malamute Tikaani (Icewolf a Touch of Darkness) I was then totally hooked on this breed and imported Nukka (Czech Me Out Shamanrock) at the end of 2011 from the famous Shamanrock Kennels in Prague. I cannot thank Katka Seidlova enough for this wonderful girl. I also have Maisie (Snowshoes One and Only) living with us who belongs to my very good friend Jean Smith. All three dogs are inseperable.

In 2008 our marriage broke down, and the dogs had to be split :( the end of an era .... (click to read more)
