I've been involved in showing, breeding , judging and working dogs for over 30 years. I enjoyed 10 years as consultant to the BBC regarding showdogs and aspects of canine health and breeding, following a career as a horsewoman. Dogs and horses are kind of similar...both blossom in good hands and the real joy is watching a character you have nurtured , grow into a confident and loving companion , able to do the task he has been chosen for.
I have been lucky enough to have had sucess in most doggy activities...The hard work is in the healthscreening and careful selection of dogs, so...the .... (click to read more)

We first came upon Spinone in the early 90’s when we were looking for a suitable companion for our Giant Schnauzer, Hansel. The KC gave us the ISCGB club secretary’s contact details & much to our delight, we found she only lived a half hours drive away. We rang to arrange a visit & that was our first meeting with Linda Collins, of Wynsett fame.
Over the following years, we became close friends & when we were ready for another dog, Linda gave us a 3 year old w/o bitch called Gloria. Later that same year Linda had a litter from Gloria’s sister Gypsy and Lui (aka Sh Ch Wynsett Xcalaber) came .... (click to read more)

My interest and love of dogs began as far back as I can remember and I have never not had a dog in my life. Our first dog was a German Shepherd Tina who we sadly lost at the ripe old age of 14. Since then I have owned Boxers along with working terriers, and a rescue Parson Russell. It was after the premature loss of our last Boxer and subsequent heartbreak that went with that, we began our search for our next dog we looked at a number of different breeds for one that would be compatible with our Parson and with our young family. After much research we happened across the Italian Spinone and .... (click to read more)

We were taken over by Spinoni after almost 20 years involvement with Dobermanns which we showed, trained (obedience training) and bred (4 litters). We introduced our first Spinone, "Amber" into our home in 1997. We were attracted to the breed by their appearance and by their wonderful temperament and we spent many months finding out all we could about the breed and meeting many of the dogs and their owners before we took the plunge. We have never regretted it and have now been completely taken over by Spinoni.
We are interested in every aspect of the breed. We enjoy showing and we are .... (click to read more)

We bought our first Spinone in 1988 and have always had at least one since then. Currently we have two bitches, Tia and Jana, and a dog called Luca.

Having tried showing over the years, on and off with various dogs, the only real success we have had is with Tia and we are truely amazed that she not only gained a junior warrant but has also won 10 Best of Breeds, 13 CCs and 5 Res CCs. She was best of breed at Crufts in 2011 and in the same year her daughter, Jana, won her class at Crufts. What a fantastic day that was!

We don't work our dogs but they do have frequent extended .... (click to read more)

    SUNSANNA SPINONI
I have owned this wonderful breed since 1993. I first saw them at Crufts and was captivated by their soft expression and temprement.
I have three bitches who are the love of my life.
I lightly show all my girls and my oldest bitch is quite good at agility (I am the one who cannot keep up)
I find the breed extremely easy to train as they love human company so much and always want to please.
I occasionally have litters which are always reared in the home. All are sent of to their prospective owners with puppy packs with the proviso that the new owners keep in .... (click to read more)

Having always had Springer Spaniels and going to many game fairs over the years I came across Italian Spinone. I immediately fell in love with them. My first Spinone joined me in 2000 who was a great gundog and sorely missed having lost him in 2013. I currently have 3 Spinone and a working cocker. I'm thrilled to have made up a Show Champion with my boy Quest.

We are a small home based kennel, all our dogs live in with us and are a major part of our family - okay so they outnumber the humans!

I have owned bearded collies since 1985, the first being a lovely Sallen bitch, Sean added spinoni to our home in 2003. It is only since 2004 that we have had the time and money to devote to breeding.

We only breed from our girls because we'd like to keep a pup for ourselves, we don't breed that often, usually around once a year at most, therefore we very occasionally have pups available for very special homes. Our aim is to breed the best we .... (click to read more)

My addiction to Spinoni began in 2008 when I acquired my first brown girl Flora. She leads a happy life of country walks and sofa lounging. In 2011 she had a litter. I kept her son Dante who is also a much loved pet.I took up showing at this point and have had some pleasing results with my special boy. Maia, my beautiful orange girl joined us later that year. She is a stunning Amberellie from Karen Standford. She has also done well in the show ring.Little River, Flora's grand daughter joined the family this year.

I have had dogs in my life for over 20 years and ran a busy kennels for 15 years. I fell in love with a dear Spinone that regularly stayed with us and it all began from there!

We are now very lucky to own a family of Spinoni all of which have good hip scores and are CA clear.

Our occasional puppies grow up in a family enviroment, taking over part of the house as they grow. They are all health checked by the vet before the leave and their new homes not only have to provide love and care but also be able to accommodate the needs of a spinone.

I have had dogs all my life, mainly Heinz varieties. It wasnt until I was on maternity leave that I seriously looked at The Italian Spinone as a pet and family member. Even with three young children, a home isnt a home without a dog.
At Crufts in 2003 I saw a lovely young bitch win her class in Sp Junior. That bitch turned out to be mother to my first Spinoni 'Olive' in 2005.
Olive and I dabbled with showing. Our first show was a Championship show. I was so nervous. We came second and had qualified for Crufts! I felt like Cinderella.
We went from strength to strength.
In 2006 .... (click to read more)
