My interest and love of dogs began as far back as I can remember and I have never not had a dog in my life. Our first dog was a German Shepherd Tina who we sadly lost at the ripe old age of 14. Since then I have owned Boxers along with working terriers, and a rescue Parson Russell. It was after the premature loss of our last Boxer and subsequent heartbreak that went with that, we began our search for our next dog we looked at a number of different breeds for one that would be compatible with our Parson and with our young family. After much research we happened across the Italian Spinone and .... (click to read more)

I've been involved in showing, breeding , judging and working dogs for over 30 years. I enjoyed 10 years as consultant to the BBC regarding showdogs and aspects of canine health and breeding, following a career as a horsewoman. Dogs and horses are kind of similar...both blossom in good hands and the real joy is watching a character you have nurtured , grow into a confident and loving companion , able to do the task he has been chosen for.
I have been lucky enough to have had sucess in most doggy activities...The hard work is in the healthscreening and careful selection of dogs, so...the .... (click to read more)

We first came upon Spinone in the early 90’s when we were looking for a suitable companion for our Giant Schnauzer, Hansel. The KC gave us the ISCGB club secretary’s contact details & much to our delight, we found she only lived a half hours drive away. We rang to arrange a visit & that was our first meeting with Linda Collins, of Wynsett fame.
Over the following years, we became close friends & when we were ready for another dog, Linda gave us a 3 year old w/o bitch called Gloria. Later that same year Linda had a litter from Gloria’s sister Gypsy and Lui (aka Sh Ch Wynsett Xcalaber) came .... (click to read more)

We are a small home based kennel, all our dogs live in with us and are a major part of our family - okay so they outnumber the humans! We are members of the KC Assured Breeders scheme.

I have owned bearded collies since 1985, the first being a lovely Sallen bitch, Sean added spinoni to our home in 2003. It is only since 2004 that we have had the time and money to devote to breeding.

We only breed from our girls because we'd like to keep a pup for ourselves, therefore we very occasionally have pups available for very special homes. Our aim is to breed the best we can, with health .... (click to read more)

Having always had Springer Spaniels and going to many game fairs over the years I came across Italian Spinone. I immediately fell in love with them. My first Spinone joined me in 2000 who was a great gundog and sorely missed having lost him in 2013. They are a breed that get under your skin and one is never enough. They are a sensitive breed and are very clever. I currently have 3 Spinone and a working cocker. I'm thrilled to have made up a Show Champion with my boy Quest a dream that I never thought would ever happen.
Thank you to Linda Mayne and Lesley Coldwell for pictures.

Bardantop is a small kennel based on the Worcs/Shropshire borders and is home to Italian Spinone,W/H Vizsla and a black labrador. All our dogs are shown and worked and we have had success in both the ring and the field, gaining CCs,working test and field trial awards. They are truly dual purpose and follow the KCs mandate of 'fit for function,' and as such we are allowed to dock our HPRs.Throughout the season I do ,on average,50 days either in the beating line or picking up....always accompanied by the w/h vizsla and spinone.
Our dogs give us an enormous amount of pleasure,so in the summer .... (click to read more)

All Bredding stock is health screened as advised by the I.S.C.G.B. (Italian Spinone Club of Great Britain)

My husband and I have been involved with Spinone over 20+years.

We show our Spinone and have bred several champions. The dam of our latest litter has her J.W. three reserve tickets. A green star and a reserve green star. Numerous B.O.B. and group placings at open show level.

All our dogs live in the house and the puppies are whelped in doors.

I myself judge the breed, to the level of C.C.'s (champion certificate).

    SUNSANNA SPINONI
I have owned this wonderful breed since 1993. I first saw them at Crufts and was captivated by their soft expression and temprement.
I have had four bitches all of which were the love of my life. At present I am on my 5th a young brown roan bitch called Delta who is a great grand daughter to my lovely Zena and grand daughter to Pru who was my only home bred Spinoni.
I lightly show my dogs but mainly they are my companions and very much family pets.
I find the breed extremely easy to train as they love human company so much and always want to please.

Marley is one of our beautiful Italian Spinone. She is white and orange and has the most fantastic temperament ever. I have been head over heels with the breed for many years.

Bella is our beautiful brown roan Spinone. She is 2 years of age.

Hips scores on both our bitches total no higher than 7 and are CA clear.

We put alot of love, care and consideration into caring for our 4 dogs. They are wonderful family pet and live with us within our house amidst a busy social family. We do not show, but our dogs are always of excellent lines.

We have had dogs own us for more years than we care to remember with our first Italian Spinone in 2013 as a friend for our elderly Jack Russell and Malamute who have since passed. Having had many breeds of dogs we have found Spinones have such a calmness of temperament and easy to train although they can be stubborn as we all can be.

We were taken over by Spinoni after almost 20 years involvement with Dobermanns which we showed, trained (obedience training) and bred (4 litters). We introduced our first Spinone, "Amber" into our home in 1997. We were attracted to the breed by their appearance and by their wonderful temperament and we spent many months finding out all we could about the breed and meeting many of the dogs and their owners before we took the plunge. We have never regretted it and have now been completely taken over by Spinoni.
We are interested in every aspect of the breed. We enjoy showing and we are .... (click to read more)

We bought our first Spinone in 1988 and have always had at least one since then. Currently we have two bitches, Tia and Jana, and a dog called Luca.

Having tried showing over the years, on and off with various dogs, the only real success we have had is with Tia and we are truely amazed that she not only gained a junior warrant but has also won 10 Best of Breeds, 13 CCs and 5 Res CCs. She was best of breed at Crufts in 2011 and in the same year her daughter, Jana, won her class at Crufts. What a fantastic day that was!

We don't work our dogs but they do have frequent extended .... (click to read more)
