Dogs have always been a part of our family, my grandfather and father-in-law worked and showed
English Springer Spaniels. I have always admired
Irish Setters and owned my first 7 years ago, I
now have three , 2 of which I show in local open
shows .

Our Welsh Springer Spaniel joined the family 3 years ago and is a pet and occasional show dog.

All our dogs are KC registered and have breed club
recommended health tests.

I had my first dog, an Irish Setter named Tara, with a definite mind of her own and a passion for rolling in cow pats, when I was in my twenties. I became involved in showing and at a show saw my first Maltese and became totally captivated by this delightful breed. Soon after I was lucky enough to have Bonnie join us, an enchanting little Maltese puppy , full of character, who bustled around keeping everyone in order, thinking nothing of standing up to a Great Dane or seeing off a fox from our garden. Duncarreg is a well established kennel for 30 years breeding, showing and rearing Hungarian Vizslas. Irish Setter and Pointers of more heritage bred for over 58 years. I own and show Welsh Springer Spaniels and Hungarian Wirehaired Vizslas. In the past I have owned/bred/shown Irish Setters, Pointers, Italian Spinone, Curly Coated Retrievers, Irish Red and White Setters and English Setters. Like Frank Kane says: ‘Real Gundog Girl!’

The Finchingford Gun Dog Kennel was established in 1998 and is owned by David Harris. I am a Kennel Club Accredited Breeder and also a member of the Kennel Club Accredited Instructors Scheme. We are based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. As a child I grew up with Irish Setters. In 1998 I got my first Golden Retriever. I have loved the breed ever since!

I never exhibited my first Irish Setter but got bitten by the bug when I aquired my first Weimaraner Adlwood Aster in 1990.
My introduction to Border Terriers came when I was looking for a smaller breed to fit in with our gundogs for my daughter to show, I'm now hooked.
