Having shown Cragvallie Dalmatians for 40 years, the Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla has now become my main breed. I first fell in love with the Wires in 1992, when I had the honour of judging Amor and Maya at NGA. I always keep strong working lines within my gundogs as I believe a dog should be capable of performing the job it was originally bred for, mine all display lots of working potential. I've owned smooth Vizsla, Basset Fauve de Bretagne, Dobermanns, a Boston terrier and a Longhaired & Mini Wire Dachshunds most dogs shown attaining a stud book entry, including a number of Champions, .... I have owned a variety of dogs all of my life but the lovely wires certainly own me. Their gentle charm and charisma have made them difficult to resist. The lovely young bitch Lily (Kisdons Attribute) is my second successful show wire from the Kisdon kennel, and my fourth wire. Lily enjoys agility and recently passed her Good Citizen Silver Test.

We successfully bred our first litter in 2010 from Bayside Brokk of Lanokk ShCM X Kenmillix Metope at Fassfields, Saffy. What a delightful thriving, happy and confident litter this was! From this litter we kept our very own Fassfields Queen Breha who became Top Puppy 2011 and also awarded her first CC at Crufts 2012 at the age of 16 months. Showing is only our second discipline - we have 4 dogs in total and currently work 3 of them on shoots within the Trough of Bowland area. Saffy was originally trained for the Hawk and now is a welcome member of several gundog training groups and enjoys .... (click to read more)

I established the KISDON name in 1974 and was well known throughout the 70's and 80's for producing successful Weimaraners. The Weimaraners were joined in 1994 by Shannamaya Solymar of Kisdon (Millie), the first of Kisdon's Hungarian Wire Haired Vizslas.
All the Kisdon litters are born in the house and socialised with my other dogs. My priority throughout has been to breed for soundness, temperament, working ability and show quality.
I am proud to have the Kennel Club Assured Breeders Accolade of Excellance.
