    We are a family of dog lovers. Firstly and primarily our dogs are our pets. I take great pride in training all our dogs through the Kennel Club Good Citizen dog training system passing their Bronze, Silver and Gold tests. We Successfully Show and work our Wire's on a local shoot as well as taking part in Working Tests. We feel that this allows us and our Wires to enjoy life to the full.

    I have two lovely breeds, the Miniature Wire Dachshund and the very Regal Hungarian Wirehair Vizsla. A unique breed.
    I aim to breed for health and temperament. I am a member of the KC Assured Breeder Scheme and have passed all necessary requirements. I hold the UKAS certificate relevant to the Scheme. All dogs are health tested for relevant diseases for the breed. I breed for Temperment, quality and type, and show very occasionally if circumstances fit, as I don't drive.     Turtonmoor is the most successful HWV Field Trialling kennel in the UK. FT Ch Kerride Henry (Caesar) is the only HWV to attain the title of Field Trial Champion in the UK. Caesar was an award winner at the 2013 KC HPR Championship.

    Ribble Amber (Amber) was an award winner at the 2015 KC HPR Championship. This was only her third competition at Open Field Trial level.

    Having shown Cragvallie Dalmatians for 40 years, the Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla has now become my main breed. I first fell in love with the Wires in 1992, when I had the honour of judging Amor and Maya at NGA. I always keep strong working lines within my gundogs as I believe a dog should be capable of performing the job it was originally bred for, mine all display lots of working potential.     We have been showing dogs for 25 years and we have been very privalaged to be owned by this breed for over 10 years now. We can't imagine life without them. They are first and foremost part of our family and live in my home, not in Kennels, all puppies are born inside too so are all use to life in a busy home. We are proud of all our girls and the success in the show ring is a bonus. All our girls have qualified for Crufts each year they have been competeing with Daisy obtaining her Kennel club stud book number in 2014.We are classed as hobby breeders as we don't breed on a regular basis.

    Poppy is our three year old much loved Hungarian Wire-Haired Vizsla. She bred from Morganna lines and has a correct wire coat and have the correct build to meet breed standards. Poppy is proved successful in the show ring (HWVA shows 2015 critiques)as well as being keen working and steady on pheasant.     Grougar HWV's are situated in the Ayrshire countryside of SW Scotland. We have two girls and are keeping another girl from our recent litter. Our dogs live at home with us and are worked daily throughout the large upland commercial forests of Ayrshire and Galloway, bringing out their natural working abilities, thus ensuring they are keen, fit, healthy and happy dogs of sound temperament.
