Having been captivated by the photographs of the two original HWV who were imported into the UK in the 1970’s it was our good fortune in 1992 to be told of the first litter of HWV’s born in this country. Our foundation bitch Shannamaya Oenone was from this litter and she became the foundation of the Lanspar Hungarian Wire-Haired Vizsla. This top winning kennel is proud of the fact that our sixth generation of HW’s is continuing in the foot-steps of their parents and grand-parents and great-grandparents, in taking part in every activity that this breed excels in. We breed for type, temperament .... (click to read more)

I established the KISDON name in 1974 and was well known throughout the 70's and 80's for producing successful Weimaraners. The Weimaraners were joined in 1994 by Shannamaya Solymar of Kisdon (Millie), the first of Kisdon's Hungarian Wire Haired Vizslas.
All the Kisdon litters are born in the house and socialised with my other dogs. My priority throughout has been to breed for soundness, temperament, working ability and show quality. -

Having admired the breed for many years I decided to look for a foundation bitch from good, sound lines and was fortunate that Rachel Thompson allowed me to have Moricroft Mata of Chance for Morganna.
Ruby has good conformation and an excellent temperament and has fitted in with the Weimaraners perfectly. She is kind, gentle, very affectionate and has a very good nose for game.
She has had some succcess in the showring winning best puppy awards and at championship level has qualified for Crufts for the past two years.

We have one Wire Haired Vizsla called Freya one of the Gonegos line of WHVs. Our kennel name means lovng in Hugarian.
We both shoot and have owned a GSP in the past. Freya has good hunt and point instincts and won her first scurry at the age of 18mths.
She is keen to please and loves to tell us all about her day when we come in. She is good with other dogs, ignoring others when working but happy to have others in the house. She lives both in a kennel - if we are out during the day and in the house when we are at home and at night. -

A small homely concern, my dogs are my hobby. I don't often raise a litter but when i do it is a very special event.
Both my HWVs have been health checked and are ultimately family pets. Gem (Starshot Dreamkeeper) attained all the Good Citizen awards from puppy to Gold in 2007. She loves water, balls and long walks.
Bella, (Casa peluda's Dream come true) is a working therapy dog for Canine Concerns.
If you may be interested in having one of these exceptional dogs, please feel free to contact me for a chat and perhaps to meet my girls. -

I have been showing Cragvallie Dalmatians for well over 30 years, most attaining a stud book entry, including a number of Champions, one home-bred and another a Championship Group winner. Hungarian Vizslas then joined the pack. My first dog became a Show Champion and used to work when my time permitted. All my Vizsla's carry strong working lines. Having judged the Wire Vizsla in 1992 I always wished to own the breed, and a couple of years ago I bought a Lanspar bitch, daughter of the first Show Champion in the breed. I have imported a dog and a bitch from the Zoldmali kennel in Hungary, as I .... (click to read more)
