I started my involvement with Setters when I had an Irish setter her breeding being mainly the famous Wendover lines. In 1979 I registered my affix, LAURELHACH and followed this with a Gordon Setter.
I first gave CCs in the breed in 1995 and have since awarded them on several occasions including the pleasure to award them at the GSA Championship Show in 2005. In April 2006 I judged the breed at the Gordon Setter Club of NSW in Australia, Sydney and was warmly welcomed by the exhibitors who presented such sound Gordons of all ages for me to appraise. I recently judged the breed at the .... (click to read more)

The Rosemullion affix was granted to me over 10 years ago although we had admired this lovely breed for several years and acquired our first Gordon Setter in 1994. Before breeding our first litter, I undertook the Animal Care College, Dog Breeding Diploma in preparation and in 1998 our first litter was born. Then as now, I only plan a litter when I myself intend to retain a puppy, therefore litters are only very occasional.
More recently I returned to college where I obtained OCN Intermediate Dog Grooming Certificate which covered not only grooming but many related subjects.

I live with my 5 Gordons near Hailsham East Sussex. It is a small kennel and I breed a litter about twice in three years. I also show them mainly locally but have qualified dogs that I have bred, for Crufts for the last 7 years.

I bred my first Gordon litter 8 years ago but have had Gordons both in UK and when I lived in New Zealand for the past 55 years.

I saw my first Gordon in Scotland then and we have had at least one usually more ever since.

All my stock have been hip scored and have current clear eye tests and are now in process of having the new DNA check done .... (click to read more)

My life in Gordon Setters spans over 35 years now and in this time I have had the pleasure of owning and breeding some beautiful dogs. I have been a Kennel Club Assured Breeder for many years now and I am a life member of The British Gordon Setter Club and The Gordon Setter Association and am also a member of The Gordon Setter Club of Scotland. I have had the pleasure of judging both here and abroad and on my first judging appointment in Australia I was immensely impressed with their Gordons both for quality, temperaments and type, so much so that in 1997 I imported a bitch from the ....
