Owning English Setters for many years, I was lucky enough to own my first Gordon Setter in 2000. since then I have bred 4 generations of Gordon's which are loved dearly and live in our family home.
Whilst I lightly show my dogs and have had excellent results in the show ring, my dogs are first and formally family pets that like nothing better than long walks on the local beaches, moorlands and fields.

As an accredited breeder I am pleased to say that all of my Gordon Setters have excellent temperaments with all the current up to date health tests which include :CLEAR DNA PRA eye .... (click to read more)

Thank you for viewing our site. We are a small breeder who have owned Irish Setters for more than 35 years and Gordon Setters for the last 10+ years. We only have occassional litters when we want to have another puppy for ourselves. We offer life long support to all our puppy owners and enjoy the continued updates from them. We show our dogs at most championship dog shows and local open shows with success from time to time.

Amscot Kennels is one of only a handful of true dual purpose kennels in the UK, meaning the Gordons are capable of working on a grouse moor or on partridge / pheasant at the highest level, being shown at Championship level in a show ring and making excellent pets. Many owners have come back to replace their beloved Gordon when it passes on. That is the highest recommendation I could have.

I bought my first Gordon in 1983 and now have my 8th generation direct line descendants to that original Gordon.

I have bred, owned and campaigned the first Dual Champion Setter in UK history. .... (click to read more)

We are a small kennel that has successfully bred and shown under the Marshmoor affix. Our homebred Sh Ch Marshmoor Macdona who has now retired did us proud by gaining 3 CC's (2 with BOB) and 3 RCC's (1 at Crufts 2010) and lastly gaining 1st Veteran Bitch at Crufts 2012.

At present we have 4 generations living peacefully in our home. All our litters are raised with the utmost care and attention.

Our main aim has always been to breed Gordons of excellent temperament, type and confirmation.

We are members of The British Gordon .... (click to read more)

Our first Gordon Setter joined us in 1999, “Oscar”, Aldabrook Wizard of Oz. Oscar was brought as a pet and we knew nothing about showing but after some gentle encouragement from Pauline Quarterman we enjoyed 6 great years of showing Oscar. In 2000 “Fraser” Aldabrook Fraternal Fella joined us, my loveable rouge and tramp as he became known as, was not a show dog, preferring to stay at home. After the loss of Oscar in 2006, “Callum” Aldabrook High Hopes came to keep Fraser company as he just could not cope being on his own having only know life with Oscar.
