    Hernwood Gordon setters, started in 1984. We have bred several Champions, with dogs winning also in the USA & Canada. We are a small kennel with a big reputation & only bred the occasional litter.Pete & Chris started out in the mid 1980s when they purchased their first Gordon from the Lourdace kennels. This foundation bitch (Sh Ch Lourdace Mystique of Hernwood) gained her title and a total of 10 CCs in her show career.     We have owned Gordon Setters since 1994 but our connection with these beautiful dogs goes back to the 1960's.

    Our current bitch, Freyja, is inquisitive, exuberant and has a lovely temperament. She is from the well-known Lochfain kennel and is registered as Lochfain Northern Desire.

    We are members of the Gordon Setter Association.

    I have had the Irish and English setters for 25 years, this is my 1st Gordon setter and what a pleasure to have her.I decided to breed her as she has a fantastic temperament and the most beautiful nature. She is also very laid back. Both parents Health tested.
    Hip score 4:4 for both parents and both PRA(rcd4)clear.

    17 years ago we aquired our first Gordon Setter
    ( Isla )
    We started showing lightly & as they say got bit by the bug.
    We have been fortunate enough to have made up 4 show champions & 2 with stud book numbers.
    I am a member of all 3 Breed clubs
    When I breed I aim for good health, type & temperament. All my stock are health tested & live with us as part of the family being loved by all especially the grandchildren.

    I started with Gordon Setters in 1986. I strive to produce Gordons who are sound, look good, have a good temperament and can do the job they were bred to do. The Gordons in my kennel have won a number of awards in field trials. Warrenfell has produced 9 litters to date as I only breed a litter when I want to keep a pup for myself. All dogs in my kennel are hip scored and when breeding I only use dogs that have a score below the breed average.     I have owned Gordon Setters now for 30 plus years! My aim when planning a litter is to breed for health type and temperatement. I have all the health tests done eg. hips eyes also colour tested. I am a hobby breeder only having a litter when I want a new one for my self. I show my Gordons which we enjoy very much, I also have the privilage of judging at Championship level. I am a member of 2 breed clubs and have served on a committee for a number of years. My Gordons are all part of the family. At present there are 3 generations living at home.

    Guy, my husband, and I (Angie) collected our first Gordon puppy from Surrey in September 2006. Her name is Megan (Laurelhach Pure Indulgence at Lignum) and she is completely and utterly adored by everybody who knows her, but especially us. She has an amazing natual hunting instinct and enjoys nothing more than working our fields at home.

    In July 2007 puppy Murdock (now Sh Ch Laurelhach Just Jitterbug JW) joined our small family and things have never been the same since!!! He is an absolute star, so outgoing and great fun.

    We have owned Gordon Setters for 24 years and have bred one full champion and three other CC and RCC winners.
    Our dogs are pets first and foremost but we do show and all our younger dogs work - we are part of a small grouse counting team and regularly compete in field trials and do occassional shoots.
    All of our dogs are health tested, for hips and eyes and are DNA tested for PRA Rcd4.
    We only breed occassionally and only when we wish to keep a dog ourselves.

    I became a proud owner of a English Setter in 1998, called Barley. I discovered Gordon Setters in 2001 when I was lucky enough to own Hugo as a Puppy. Since then I have bred 5 generations of Gordon Setters which are loved dearly. Whilst I occasionally show my Gordon Setters and have had many good results in the show ring, all my dogs are first and formally family pets.

    I have lived with dogs all my life and grew up with Newfoundland’s which my parents bred and showed.

    I was 14 when I first saw a Gordon Setter at an Agricultural show and fell in love instantly knowing that they were the breed for me, much to my parents dismay! Paul's first glimpse of them was at Crufts and luckily or divorce may well have followed, he also was smitten on sight.

    Pegasett is a small show kennel, I have had setters for over 30 years I got my first Gordon Setter in 1987 From the Prairiedawn Kennel as a pet only but had a little fun at local open shows. I start showing around 7 years ago with my dog Leo from the Lochfain Kennel Leo did very well at both Championship and open show Level, He was joined By Craigan Lochfain Now Endless Summer at Pegasett he has also done very well in the ring winning the Dogg CC and Best of Breed at Leeds in 2007 under Breed Judge Mr G Coupe. We only have occassional litters when we want to have another puppy for ourselves. We offer life long support to all our puppy owners and enjoy the continued updates from them.
