    Longrow is a small kennel who have been successfully exhibiting this gorgeous breed at Championship and Open shows since 2000. All our dogs live with us in the house, are family orientated and a pleasure and delight to live with. We are breeding here for temperament and breed type as well as good looks!

We only breed litters very occasionally and all our puppies are born & raised in the house and are extremely well socialised before going to their new homes.     I started with Gordon Setters in 1986. I strive to produce Gordons who are sound, look good, have a good temperament and can do the job they were bred to do. The Gordons in my kennel have won a number of awards in field trials. Warrenfell has produced 9 litters to date as I only breed a litter when I want to keep a pup for myself. All dogs in my kennel are hip scored and when breeding I only use dogs that have a score below the breed average.     We have owned, shown and bred Gordon Setters for the last 17 years, and although our kennel name was granted in 1999, we have actually owned gundogs for over 34 years.
    Our love for Gordons started when we had our first back in 1997. Nothing can compare with being owned by this wonderful breed, albeit sometimes feeling like you own a family of clowns !!

    I started my involvement with Setters when I had an Irish setter her breeding being mainly the famous Wendover lines. In 1979 I registered my affix, LAURELHACH and followed this with a Gordon Setter.
    I first gave CCs in the breed in 1995 and have since awarded them on several occasions including the pleasure to award them at the GSA Championship Show in 2005. In April 2006 I judged the breed at the Gordon Setter Club of NSW in Australia, Sydney and was warmly welcomed by the exhibitors who presented such sound Gordons of all ages for me to appraise.     I have lived with dogs all my life and grew up with Newfoundland’s which my parents bred and showed.

    I was 14 when I first saw a Gordon Setter at an Agricultural show and fell in love instantly knowing that they were the breed for me, much to my parents dismay! Paul's first glimpse of them was at Crufts and luckily or divorce may well have followed, he also was smitten on sight.

    Dunfionn Gordon Setters is a small kennel in Ayrshire, Scotland, established in 1980. We have owned or bred ten UK Show Champions and other CC and Res CC winners and aim to produce traditional Gordon Setters which are of sound mind and body and, most importantly, are suitable family pets. All breeding stock are health tested i.e. BVA Hip Scored, DNA tested for PRA rcd4 and have had recent Eye Tests. Advice on the breed given readily given.
