I started my involvement with Setters when I had an Irish setter her breeding being mainly the famous Wendover lines. In 1979 I registered my affix, LAURELHACH and followed this with a Gordon Setter.
I first gave CCs in the breed in 1995 and have since awarded them on several occasions including the pleasure to award them at the GSA Championship Show in 2005. In April 2006 I judged the breed at the Gordon Setter Club of NSW in Australia, Sydney and was warmly welcomed by the exhibitors who presented such sound Gordons of all ages for me to appraise. I recently judged the breed at the .... (click to read more)

We have been involved with showing Gundogs for several years, having great success in a number of breeds particularly Weimaraners, Pointers Gordon Setters having made up Show Champions in each of these breeds and owning group winning dogs of the last two breeds.

We attend most championship shows each year and a few open shows too. We try to always present and show our dogs to perfection, ensuring they are always in tip-top condition, which is no mean feat and takes a lot of hard work and dedication.

On the rare occasion we breed we try to keep the welfare of each breed as our .... (click to read more)

    Wilts
    Current Health Tests

Amscot Kennels is one of only a handful of true dual purpose kennels in the UK, meaning the Gordons are capable of working on a grouse moor or on partridge / pheasant at the highest level, being shown at Championship level in a show ring and making excellent pets. Many owners have come back to replace their beloved Gordon when it passes on. That is the highest recommendation I could have.

I bought my first Gordon in 1983 and now have my 8th generation direct line descendants to that original Gordon.

I have bred, owned and campaigned the first Dual Champion Setter in UK history. .... (click to read more)

The first Boyers gordon was purchased in 1972 with the aim of producing sound dual purpose gordon setters, ie dogs that look good and can work as well, and also have good, biddable temperments. It has been successful in this aim and has produced Champions, Sh Champions and field trial award winners consistantly over this period. I have lived with dogs all my life and grew up with Newfoundland’s which my parents bred and showed.

I was 14 when I first saw a Gordon Setter at an Agricultural show and fell in love instantly knowing that they were the breed for me, much to my parents dismay! Paul's first glimpse of them was at Crufts and luckily or divorce may well have followed, he also was smitten on sight.

We took home our first Gordon male ‘Wesley’ 13 years ago and decided that to learn more about the breed we would give showing a go. Fortunately, we have been very successful, and Wesley gained his Junior .... (click to read more)

I started with Gordon Setters in 1986. I strive to produce Gordons who are sound, look good, have a good temperament and can do the job they were bred to do. The Gordons in my kennel have won a number of awards in field trials. Warrenfell has produced 9 litters to date as I only breed a litter when I want to keep a pup for myself. During this time we have been very successful showing our dogs with most of them gaining their stud book numbers which entitles them to life qualification at Crufts. We are so proud .... (click to read more)
