My first show bred golden retriever, born in 1967, was Golmas Cabus Chaterina - litter sister to Ch. Camrose Cabus Christopher.
My wife and I live within the grounds of Haigh Country Park where our dogs have 450 acres of natural woodland, meadows, and ponds where we can exercise them freely in a tranquil setting.
We are a small, select kennel of quality, sound dogs with excellent temperament and have bred to the same type as our foundation stock for 40 years.
We occasionally have puppies which may be available to suitable permanent loving homes. All our puppies are born and reared .... (click to read more)

There have been Golden Retrievers in our family since the 1930s, and most are mid to dark gold in colour (as opposed to cream). Eyes are tested under the KC/BVA scheme, and hips are X-rayed and scored as soon as youngsters are old enough. Temperament is our most important consideration when choosing a stud dog, and we rarely have more than one litter every 18-24 months.
We always hope to keep in touch with puppy owners for as long as they wish to keep in touch with us, and are happy to provide advice and answer questions.

We have been owned by Golden Retrievers since 1983 when we bought a pet bitch with very dubious pedigree and temperament.

When we lost her we were determined to find a well bred dog to ensure better temperament and less challenging personality.

We bought our first show bred girl with beautiful Nortonwood lines and although she was bought as a pet we were encouraged to do a spot of showing. That was it! Our next girl was bought 1997 and we did really well with her. In her show career she attained 1st at Crufts 2005 in the Veteran Bitch class. We had our first litter in 2001 from ....
