We have been showing, handling, judging and working gundogs (with birds of prey and with the gun) for over 25 years, our first gundog being an Irish Setter.
We are a very small family kennel and enjoy spending quaility time with our dogs who are very much part of the family. We have a wide knowledge of HPR breeds, Gordan and Janet having GWP's and Chinese Crested Dogs and Donna and Neil having Large Munsterlanders and Minature Wirehaired Dachshunds.

Klancraig are a small family Kennel based in Shropshire. We are Kennel Club Accredited Breeders. Our dogs are first and foremost family companions but they are occasionally shown and competitively worked and more recently actively worked on our local shoot.
In the UK the GWP is still a ‘dual purpose’ breed which continues to be both shown and worked unlike many gundog breeds which have split and are bred to fulfil one role or the other. We are a small kennels based in Shropshire. We have had gundogs for nearly 30 years and in the last 10 years German Wirehaired Pointers, all our dogs are health tested which includes hip scored and Vom Williebrands. We are Kennel Club Accredited Breeders
We have imported dogs from Holland and are working closely with a Dutch breeder to bring new bloodlines into the UK.

I have been showing for thirty years now, it all started with my dads Afghan Hound. she was nerver placed, but I caught the show bug. I then bought myself a Rough Collie puppy to show and from then till now we have won at many open and championship shows across the country.Sadly we now only have one veteran Rough Collie left.So no more collie shows. Our 1st Champion Dobermann is, IR. CH.Supeta's Black Russian at Beechillawn (J.D.) (C.J.W.'06) (C.W.'08) and he became IR.CH. in 2008.

I have been a breeder for over 20 years and campaign my dogs at shows both open and Championship shows. I own both weimaraners and GWPs. I have bred 3 Show Champion GWP's and owned 2 of them . The most noticable being Tynsil Tysse who won the Bitch CC at Crufts in March 2010.
I serve on several local canine societies being secretary/treasurer of one and am also the committee chairperson of the German Wirehaired Pointer.

Kewpond gundogs aims to breed the occasional litter of good looking working dogs who live as a part of my household. I breed a litter only when I want a puppy and only if I think the bitch is good enough, both structurally and in her working life. My GWPs show occasionally and work all year round. They dog in pick up sometimes work in the beating line for a walking gun. They have also trialled with some success. My Labradors have all had a go at working tests and trialling and pick up on a regular basis
