I grew up with dogs, especially with German Shepherds. I like their empathy with humans – they are always trying to work out what people are thinking. Plus they have a great sense of humour. My white German Shepherd female, Kea, has just had her first litter of puppies, all pure white and long haired. They are going to be very beautiful dogs. I am also interested in showing and training with my dogs in the future.

The VAKERANTI kennel prefix is taken from the names of some of the German Shepherds I have owned over the years. Viva (VA), Jake (KE), Tara (RA) and Xanti (NTI).

I have owned GSD's for over 20 years as pets. They have ranged from 12 weeks to 9 years old when they came to live with the family. This included two very special dogs which I took in from German Shepherd Welfare.

I always wanted to get involved in showing and in 2004 finally achieved that ambition with the purchase of Mirrwood Ulysses (Chaos) and Mirrwood Vicki (Havoc).

Shown from 14 months old, Chaos has been .... (click to read more)

We first entered the breed thirty years ago when we purchased a rescue GSD, Shelly, who lived to a healthy fourteen and a half years. Our interest in the breed led us to the Tonbridge GSD obedience training club which in turn introduced us to the show side of the breed. We have been active in both obedience and showing for many years now but only breed infrequently, typically when we wish to retain a new puppy. Good temperament and healthy animals typical of the German Shepherd Breed are what we strive for. Our own dogs have excellent health test results and good temperaments and this is a .... Faith is the first part of our puzzle, our life long puzzle! We have all been raised around dogs, of all breeds and know how much dedication and love they need.

We chose Faith originally because she had a fantastic background and her pedigree speaks for itself. Starting with her Father who was a British Sieger along with many others to mention on the Sires' line.

Tirgram Tina Vom Haus Dexel also has champions running through her lines including Cruft winners Elmo vom Huhnegrab.

We are Kennel Club Assured Breeders for German Shepherd Dogs.

I have owned German Shepherds for 12 years and have a deep love for the breed. I have always enjoyed their versatility and have been part of a Display Team (which I still currently am part of) but more recently have enjoyed the Showing and Working side of this amazing breed.
We bought our first French Bulldog 2 years ago and are just amazed at how they fit in with our German Shepherds and how much fun we have with them. We now have 2 Frenchies and are really enjoying obedience and showing them.

I have always loved dogs but it wasn't till my teens that my parents brought home an 18 month old German Shepherd(Alsatian)as they were called in those days. He was my best friend but sadly only
until he was seven years old when we lost him due to CDRM now called DM.

When my two sons were young I wanted another dog and after much consideration I opened my life up to a Norweigen Elkhound called Dharma she was the biggest learning curb. She was very stubborn, so you can imagine it was no walk in the park training her. I entered her into obedience competitions where we had lots of fun .... (click to read more)
