    We have owned flatcoats since 1995 and our very first show dog was Ch Steeplehouse Gamekeeper. He won 13 CC's 12 RCC, Numberious Championship Group Placings, Winner of Champion Stakes and holder of the Flatcoated Retriver Society Top Dog 2003 award Becky Trophy. He also gained his Show Gundog Working Certificate to make him a full champion. A dog in a million. A great privilage to have owned this wonder boy.

    My affix Gamerights was granted in 2008 when Fern's litter arrived, and have bred three litters of Flatcoats.

    I now have just one bitch, Memphis, who has been shown with some success and is biddable and clever.

    I show and compete occasionally, and when I can I enjoy participating in working tests and have the pleasure of exhibiting at Crufts. My dogs start off at obedience training and Good Citizens and participate in gundog training, they live as family pets in the house with me.

    We both work our dogs to pick up on local preasant shoots, Brian uses his for wildfowling and occassionally we get the opportunity to pick up on the grouse moor.

I have owned Flatcoated Retrievers for 25 years originally just as pets then I discovered the joy of training them for the field.     We only breed when we want a new puppy for ourselves to bring on and train. We still have 10 year old Purdy mother of Ria and grandmother of the puppies. She is still fit and healthy and also tries to "mother" the puppies although like all grandmothers can walk away when she wants to.

We enjoy bringing the puppies up and making sure they have the best start in life.
