    Kulawand Retrievers was founded in 1973 by Robert & Sandra Lane. Both Bob and Sandy worked with and had a love of animals from their formative years. Bob worked as a jackaroo in Australia for several years working with horses, cattle, sheep and cattle dogs. Sandy owned and trained collies.     We only breed when we want a new puppy for ourselves to bring on and train. We still have 10 year old Purdy mother of Ria and grandmother of the puppies. She is still fit and healthy and also tries to "mother" the puppies although like all grandmothers can walk away when she wants to.

    Percuil Flatcoats was founded in 2011 with my first litter from Keveral Flybynite of Percuil. I have owned Flatcoated Retrievers for 25 years originally just as pets then I discovered the joy of training them for the field. I breed occasionally, health, temperament, working ability and breed type are all important. My 2nd litter, first from Percuil Nuvolari Tazio and my stud dog Ravensrough Oswald of Percuil born on 1.1.16 are a delight.     I take great care over choosing suitable breeding lines for my kennel and my dogs have show and working lines in their pedigree.All are hip and eye tested according to Flatcoated Retriever/Kennel Club guide lines. I show and work them occasionally which I enjoy as they have a fun and biddable temperament.Most of all they are my companions and their nature makes them great with children.

    We had Goldies for years, but after a break of twelve years because of the pressures of work, we now have Flatcoats!

    We have two Casblaidd girls and now have our own affix Possingworth. The first puppy to carry this is Possingworth Dorothy,(Dottie)Millies daughter. She is now 4 and joined our picking band two years ago, she has proved to be as clever and willing as the other girls, intuitavely finding birds, with no fear of difficult cover.

    The Casblaidd kennel was founded in 1987, when Chris Hewison had his first dog, Nemo (The Viking of Woodbridge). Chris and Nemo went on to achieve many goals, not the least of which included the K.C.J.O. Junior of the Year and the K.C.J.O. Gold Medal in Obedience with the Welsh team. Nemo also partnered Louise Vaughan to the K.C.J.O. Junior Handler of the Year, showing the versatility of the Flatcoated Retriever.

    We love flatcoats and have owned seven flatcoats over the years. We have successfully bred four litters from our previous flatcoats. We are now looking forward to our next litter from our four year old bitch Lowenna. We also have a stud dog Hadden.
