Coedylan is a small kennel in the Rhondda Valley in South Wales backing onto the edge of old woods. We have had flatcoats since 1994, we now have the pleasure of the company of Peggy (Marjosi Silver Lining at Coedylan) and her lovely daughter Lilly (Coedylan Visi D'Arte).

We are Kennel Club Assured Breeders.

Lilly achieved her Stud Book Number at South Wales Kennel Championship Show 2014.

I have been in flatcoats since 1987. My first three flatcoats were all bred by the famous Norwegian kennel Cariena's, they were all show champions and super working dogs. In 2001 I moved from Norway to Mid-Wales where I live with my family and our flatcoats. The Llantrussa affix was established in 2004, as my FCI affix was not accepted in the UK.

We breed for classical flatcoat type, sound construction and super temperaments. Being a vet myself, all aspects of health and soundness are of upmost importance and only health tested and otherwise sound and healthy dogs are bred from. .... (click to read more)

We have had Flatties since 2003. Our first girl Dilly (Bryshot Ice Maiden) was a beautiful and gentle dog with a hip score of 0/0. She gave us a gorgeous litter of puppies in 2009, sadly we lost her in 2010.

We kept our home bred girl Saffy (Figsbury Prima Zafferana) who was Dilly's daughter and she inherited her gentle, loving temperament. She produced her first litter of puppies with Mahinda Dudley. We have 3 dogs (black) and 3 bitches (1 black and 2 liver).
Perdy (Ronevorg It's a Deal) joined us in October 2010 just after we lost Dilly.

We hadn't planned to keep a puppy .... (click to read more)

Owned Flatcoated retrievers since 2003. Bred the occasional litter primarily for us to keep a puppy ourselves. We enjoy gundog work and our dogs pick up regularly on the local shoot. We also enjoy showing at Championship shows, but first and foremost our dogs are our cherished companions.

Any breeding stock we use has been fully health tested, for the relevant conditions.

I was first introduced to Flat Coats at the age of 4 when my parents brought home Casper, a liver boy. He was followed by Nero from the Riversflight Kennel some 4 years later. Since then, Flat Coats have always been the biggest part of my life bringing me joy and many kisses each day!

At the age of 14 I bought my first flat coat, Roxy (Verdant Unicorn at Brynywawr). She has been my star, a loyal friend and I am proud to say my foundation bitch of the Brynywawr kennel.

Our dogs are first and foremost much loved members of the family that live with us in the house (and on the .... (click to read more)
