We are a small, family kennel living in a small country village south west of Aberdeen in Royal Deeside. The countryside is amazing and we are thoroughly spoiled for long free running walks (with lot's of "wet" possibilities e.g. Peat bogs and mountain streams) for the dogs.

All our dogs are first and foremost prominent members of our family. They have the best of care their health and happiness being of paramount importance to us. They are all health screened as they mature in accordance with the appropriate schemes and results are available to see on the various websites.

At Corriegowrie we love our dogs, they are part of the family. We started a few years ago with gentle giant Murphy (Bobs Pride) and totally fell in love, so decided to get cheeky Milo (Retradax Nathaniel) and then beautiful Corrie (Dubhbruja Ophelia) to add to the family.
We have had two very successful litters from Corrie and Milo and all the puppies found wonderful homes, we kept the adorable Charley (Charley Angel)from the first litter who is very cheeky but lovely!

As lifelong dog owners and lovers, we discovered the wonderful Flat Coated Retriever breed when Bramble came to live with us in 2012.
We live in the beautiful Scottish Borders, with its fantastic forests and rivers on our doorstep - a lifestyle that any Flat Coated Retriever would be delighted to revel in.
Bramble is bred from a combination of UK and Scandinavian lines and she has turned into a fantastic family companion who is great with children and other dogs.
We do not have any plans for future litters, as we are just normal family dog owners who happened to choose to breed from .... (click to read more)

I have owned Flatcoats since the 1970's having owned one dog and several bitches over the years. My dogs are well loved & well cared for pets who enjoy living in a family home, long walks amongst the Scottish countryside and life in general! Having been able to pick the brains of a show exhibitor friend I decided to breed my own FCR's with an emphasis on retaining the dual purposibility of the breed. I am a member of all 3 Flatcoat clubs and have been very lucky to gain the help of Shirley Oxford (Taranbeck) & the Forsters (Wizardwood) in planning my litter.

Dogs have always been a part of my life.
My Mother bred and showed Pekingnese, and ran a busy boarding kennel.
I bred and showed Afghans for many years, as well as supported my Mother in running the kennels.
Candidacasa was my Mother's affix which passed to me.
The Flatcoats always appealed to me and I bought my first in 1977.
I was then out of the breed for a few years until I bought my foundation bitch Highammill Pandora (Broom) in 2002. Broom had a litter to Almanza Roundabout in 2006 from which I kept Frankie - Candidacasa RollaCoaster - who has done well at Championship .... (click to read more)
