I have owned Flatcoats since 1996, but have experience of the breed going back to 1989.
In 2016 I was lucky enough to add an English Setter to the team, co owned with his breeder.

I breed occasionally, only when I want a puppy for myself.

I have been judging since 2000 and award CC's in Flatcoats.
I am on the C list for English Setters.

Flat coated retrievers have always been my absolute favourite of any of the gunfight breeds. They are full of life, have a charming character and are truly dual purpose dogs. Above all else they soon fit into everyday family life.

We have owned flatcoats on and off for over 35 years and recently we like to breed a litter each year from one of our bitches. We enjoy bringing the puppies up and making sure they have the best start in life. We have kept in touch with many of the pups with their new owners and they visit from time to time which is always a great
treat for us. We also breed show and performance horses.

I grew up with Skye Terriers and played an active part in showing and breeding, then started myself in Cockers aged 16, established the Ronevorg kennel name, bred 4 litters and showed locally. After getting married and the family wanting a bigger dog, we "discovered" flatcoats and have been hooked ever since. I bought my first flatcoat in 1988, Tara, a litter sister to the successful Exclyst Watchman. Tara lived to the fantastic age fo 14 1/2.

With my family now grown up I was able to get back into showing in 2004. I also accompany my husband on his shoot and pick up for him and the .... (click to read more)

Small very part time Breeder of Flatcoat Retrievers.
Having owned dogs all my life and predominantly Golden Retrievers and Border Collies, I decided many years ago to have a Flatcoat after meeting one at a (Horse)show.
It all began with Harvey, a larger than life character who is still missed. Then came Bella, our bitch with the intention of breeding our next Flattie but sadly she is no longer with us but we now have her beautiful daughter Lulu to continue the line.
