    The Casblaidd kennel was founded in 1987, when Chris Hewison had his first dog, Nemo (The Viking of Woodbridge). Chris and Nemo went on to achieve many goals, not the least of which included the K.C.J.O. Junior of the Year and the K.C.J.O. Gold Medal in Obedience with the Welsh team. Nemo also partnered Louise Vaughan to the K.C.J.O. Junior Handler of the Year, showing the versatility of the Flatcoated Retriever.

    We have owned Golden Retrievers since 1981, our first two dogs were Channri Cerrigold and Channri Caleb.
    The very special foundation bitch of the Jaskar kennel was Westley Rachel of Jaskar (22.2.86 -28.4.00). She was mated to Sh Ch Stirchley Saxon and produced Jaskar Jordan a super dog who did a great deal of winning, including 2CCs and 3RCCs

    Kulawand Retrievers was founded in 1973 by Robert & Sandra Lane. Both Bob and Sandy worked with and had a love of animals from their formative years. Bob worked as a jackaroo in Australia for several years working with horses, cattle, sheep and cattle dogs. Sandy owned and trained collies.     I have loved dogs since I was a child & have owned Flatcoated Retrievers for 30 years,since I first fell in love with the breed. We moved to Sunnybrae in 1991, and it was a Flatcoat paradise,with 12 acres of fields & a river running through the bottom of our valley. We have now moved to Herefordshire, where the dogs enjoy our lovely garden and nearby woodland walks.

    Flat Coats have always been the biggest part of my life having been brought up with them as our family pets.
    At the age of 14 I bought my first flat coat, Roxy.
    Our dogs are first and foremost much loved members of the family that live with us in the house.
    I currently show my dogs at open and championship show level and have recently completed my aspiration of qualifying for crufts, doing so with Layla, a bitch from my first litter.

    we have owned flatcoats for 32 years and the focus of our kennels is the working side of the breed having kept dogs for picking up and on the peg. Four years ago we began to compete in compition at working test and field trials, in which we have had great success having won the riversflight trophy two years in a row with different dogs (the riversflight trophy is for the most succssful flatcoat in field trials for the year).

    Bree and Morannon are two of my 5th generation bitches. Bred for working ability and temperament, Both have Championship Show awards. Previous bitches have obtained their stud book numbers in this way. I have also had a COM at an A.V Field trial and a 3rd at a breed Open trial.
    Every bitch and the stud dogs that I use, have good hip scores and all eye tests.
    All my dogs enjoy picking -up through the Winter months and keep their training up Gundog working tests through the rest of the year, we also do obedience and agility which the dogs enjoy.

    I am 25 years old and have owned my Flatcoat for about 3 years now. I came into the breed through a friend who owns Flatcoats herself as I met her through my local dog training class. I originally had a rescue Dalmatian which I took to dog training but she unfortunately died of cancer so I needed another dog as I couldn't manage life without one. I decided to get a Flatcoat as I loved their character and personality. Lizzie then came along and I couldn't resist getting her, she has a lovely nature with adults and children and is a very easy going bitch and I love her to bits!

    We have had Flat Coated Retrievers for the last 26 years and have had some success with both working and showing them.
    We have been members of the Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme since it was introduced and adher to all health checks required by them e.g. hip and eye tests.
