    As lifelong dog owners and lovers, we discovered the wonderful Flat Coated Retriever breed when Bramble came to live with us in 2012.
    We live in the beautiful Scottish Borders, with its fantastic forests and rivers on our doorstep - a lifestyle that any Flat Coated Retriever would be delighted to revel in.
    Bramble is bred from a combination of UK and Scandinavian lines and she has turned into a fantastic family companion who is great with children and other dogs.

    We are a small, family kennel living in a small country village south west of Aberdeen in Royal Deeside. The countryside is amazing and we are thoroughly spoiled for long free running walks (with lot's of "wet" possibilities e.g. Peat bogs and mountain streams) for the dogs.

    All our dogs are first and foremost prominent members of our family. They have the best of care their health and happiness being of paramount importance to us.     We have owned Golden Retrievers since 1981, our first two dogs were Channri Cerrigold and Channri Caleb.
    The very special foundation bitch of the Jaskar kennel was Westley Rachel of Jaskar (22.2.86 -28.4.00). She was mated to Sh Ch Stirchley Saxon and produced Jaskar Jordan a super dog who did a great deal of winning, including 2CCs and 3RCCs

    The Casblaidd kennel was founded in 1987, when Chris Hewison had his first dog, Nemo (The Viking of Woodbridge). Chris and Nemo went on to achieve many goals, not the least of which included the K.C.J.O. Junior of the Year and the K.C.J.O. Gold Medal in Obedience with the Welsh team. Nemo also partnered Louise Vaughan to the K.C.J.O. Junior Handler of the Year, showing the versatility of the Flatcoated Retriever.

    Kulawand Retrievers was founded in 1973 by Robert & Sandra Lane. Both Bob and Sandy worked with and had a love of animals from their formative years. Bob worked as a jackaroo in Australia for several years working with horses, cattle, sheep and cattle dogs. Sandy owned and trained collies.     I have been in flatcoats since 1987. My first three flatcoats were all bred by the famous Norwegian kennel Cariena's, they were all show champions and super working dogs. In 2001 I moved from Norway to Mid-Wales where I live with my family and our flatcoats. The Llantrussa affix was established in 2004, as my FCI affix was not accepted in the UK.

    I have owned and loved Flat Coated Retrievers since 1978.

    Presently, I have two girls Champunzie Morning Tourist (Keira 8 years) and Keira's puppy Corriegarth Cassia (Ceilidh 3 years).

    They live in the country enjoying forest walks and love regular visits to the beach where they can swim.

    Keira attends obedience training classes and also loves active involvement in Flyball. She has passed her Kennel Club Good Citizens Gold Test and is keen to learn.

    Ceilidh is also going to training classes and has now also passed her gold test.

    I take great care over choosing suitable breeding lines for my kennel and my dogs have show and working lines in their pedigree.All are hip and eye tested according to Flatcoated Retriever/Kennel Club guide lines. I show and work them occasionally which I enjoy as they have a fun and biddable temperament.Most of all they are my companions and their nature makes them great with children.

    Myself and my husband own three flat coats, we run a successful small boarding kennels called Wetherham Boarding kennels.www.wkennels.co.uk.
    We love flatcoats and have owned seven flatcoats over the years. We have successfully bred four litters from our previous flatcoats. We are now looking forward to our next litter from our four year old bitch Lowenna. We also have a stud dog Hadden.
    I do behaviour work with all my dogs and agility. I have also shown Hadden.

    We have owned flatcoats since 1995 and our very first show dog was Ch Steeplehouse Gamekeeper. He won 13 CC's 12 RCC, Numberious Championship Group Placings, Winner of Champion Stakes and holder of the Flatcoated Retriver Society Top Dog 2003 award Becky Trophy. He also gained his Show Gundog Working Certificate to make him a full champion. A dog in a million. A great privilage to have owned this wonder boy.

    I have owned dogs all of my life, I got my first Flatcoat, Mollie (Byeways Befair) over 14yrs This is where my love of the breed began. My latest Flatcoat is Byeways Fair and Square at Hototo, Poppy, she is showing regualarly and has done extremely well for only a yearling having gained her first RCC at Paignton 2012.
    The Wire Dachshund came into my life 5yrs ago. Wow, what a breed they are. So addictive! Lily, Tendrow Whoop's a Daisy at Hototo is a delightful little dog to own in so many ways. Lily's daughter, Lucy, Hototo She's The One has got her adhorable temperament and character.

My first Flatcoat achieved great success in agility and the 2 Flatcoats I have at present compete in agility, obedience and I also show my bitch, Gem, Ballyriver Foxtrot of Ciardubhan, who has qualified for Crufts twice. I co-own Hamish, Baltic Blue Gift from Basteta, with Jenny Campbell.
