Kulawand Retrievers was founded in 1973 by Robert & Sandra Lane. Both Bob and Sandy worked with and had a love of animals from their formative years. My name is Catherine, I'am married and have two children. We got our first Flatcoated retriver five years ago and have never looked back! I did a lot of research on the breed and knew it was the dog for our family.
Our stunningly beautiful girl Kyrie is my loyal companion and is never more than three feet away from me when I'm in the house! Our garden backs on to Epsom common and we love taking Kyrie out for walks. There are a couple of big ponds on the common, and Kyrie loves being in any kind of water -no matter how dirty or how much she smells afterwards!! We wanted Kyrie to be a family .... She's put up with 3 young children wanting cuddles, raced them on their bikes, bounced with them on the trampoline, swam with them in the sea and warmed them up in the cold. We couldn't ask for a better family dog and now she'd having a family of her own!

Small part time Breeder of Flatcoat Retrievers.
Having owned dogs all my life and predominantly Golden Retrievers and Border Collies, I decided 10 years ago to have a Flatcoat after meeting one at a (Horse)show.
It all began with Harvey, a larger than life character who is still missed. We live on a farm and breed sports horses, so are at home and have plenty of space for dogs. Then we got Bella, our bitch with the intention of breeding our next Flattie. She has had 1 litter 2 years ago and this litter is for us to keep a bitch.
The sire of her current litter has been chosen because .... (click to read more) -

She loves to play but is usually calm and quiet in the house. Her tail constantly wags. She adores children...everyone actually, the most sociable of animals.
