Bramble is bred from a combination of UK and Scandinavian lines and she has turned into a fantastic family companion who is great with children and other dogs.

Kulawand Retrievers was founded in 1973 by Robert & Sandra Lane. Both Bob and Sandy worked with and had a love of animals from their formative years. Bob worked as a jackaroo in Australia for several years working with horses, cattle, sheep and cattle dogs. Sandy owned and trained collies. In the 1970s, just after their daughter was born, they lost their last collie and decided to have a retriever that was more in keeping with their new family; and thus started 38 years of owning, breeding and showing Golden & Flatcoated Retrievers. Today the Kulawand Affix is a three way partnership with .... (click to read more)

I have owned Flatcoated Retrievers since 1974 and have been a member of the Flatcoated Retriever Society ever since.

This litter is my second litter in 22 years. I breed only very rarely, when I want a puppy for myself. I have the grandfather of these puppies, but sadly lost the great grandmother in February of this year, 1 month before her 11th birthday.
I usually only have 2 Flatcoats which are my companion dogs before anything else.

I am a championship show judge both here and abroad. I was honoured to judge the breed at Crufts 2010.

My dogs are well loved & well cared for pets who enjoy living in a family home, long walks amongst the Scottish countryside and life in general! Having been able to pick the brains of a show exhibitor friend I decided to breed my own FCR's with an emphasis on retaining the dual purposibility of the breed. I am a member of all 3 Flatcoat clubs and have been very lucky to gain the help of Shirley Oxford (Taranbeck) & the Forsters (Wizardwood) in planning my litter.
