I have 5 kids ranging in ages 25 to 11. Our household is a busy and homely one My flatcoats live as part of the family, so it is important for me to breed for kind temperament and a loving personality.
I enjoy showing my dogs all of whom have gained their stud book numbers, many also have a junior warrant and my bitch Hopevalley Morning Surprise of Bochilbarley has a reserve CC.
All my dogs take part in the Kennel Club Good citizens Awards Scheme and most hold a minimum of a Bronze Award.
When I breed a litter it is so that I can keep a puppy myself. Please check my web site to see .... (click to read more)

My husband bought me my first Flatcoat, Kesi as a softener for moving from my home in Surrey to Scotland in 2006 on his Army posting! She came from an excellent line of Spera Flatcoats bred by Shirley De Robbio in Ayrshire. I have not looked back or returned back to England. Scotland is now our home with a few more Flatcoats because 1 is just not enough!

Having successfully bred 3 litters of Flat-coated Retrievers, I have produced some really lovely pups. Some were chosen as family pets and some have done quite well in the show ring, some are working dogs, so good all-rounders .... (click to read more)

Zuki is my first Flatcoat, and what a wonderful introduction to this breed. She is such a happy girl, loves chasing her ball, playing in any water including any puddle and having a cuddle. Love her to bits!

We now have an addition to our family, Lula. Our Cavalier King Charles, Alfie, passed away rather suddenly. So Lula has been a brilliant tonic to our sadness.

We have owned flatcoats on and off for over 35 years and recently we like to breed a litter each year from one of our bitches. We enjoy bringing the puppies up and making sure they have the best start in life. We have kept in touch with many of the pups with their new owners and they visit from time to time which is always a great
treat for us. We also breed show and performance horses.

I have owned Flatcoated Retrievers since 1986 but did not breed my first litter until 2012. I was also granted membership of the Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme in 2012. 'Aoife', Taranbeck Sorrel May Day was bred by Shirley Oxford from traditional English dual purpose lines. Aoife has had some success in the show ring gaining her Kennel Club Stud Book number which qualifies her for Crufts for life.
Ailin, Aoife's son is showing promise with his gundog training and also in the show ring- (hoping to take after his father who is an excellent working dog)

Having had a successful professional career over the last 20 years, I decided to take a change of direction to allow me to dedicate the time I need to my animals. I am now in a very fortunate position where I work from home running a boarding cattery which allows me to spend the time I need with my dogs and work on my breed line which has been developed over the last 20 years and now offers healthy flatcoats that make good working dogs and pets. Dogs I have bred have also had some success in the show ring. I have 4 flatcoats living with me here, and I work them all in the shooting season, not .... (click to read more)

We are a small, family kennel living in a small country village south west of Aberdeen in Royal Deeside. The countryside is amazing and we are thoroughly spoiled for long free running walks (with lot's of "wet" possibilities e.g. Peat bogs and mountain streams) for the dogs.

All our dogs are first and foremost prominent members of our family. They have the best of care their health and happiness being of paramount importance to us. They are all health screened as they mature in accordance with the appropriate schemes and results are available to see on the various websites.
