    We are a small kennel based in STAFFORD STAFFORDSHIRE all our dogs are dna tested and eye tested normal clear.We endeavour to breed to meet the breed standard and for temperement.We only use A1 PRA FN tested dogs with our bitches.
    We show our dogs but first and foremost they are pets who with us enjoy the show ring.We first got interested in showing about 5 years ago and have had reasonable results as five of our dogs have gained thier stud book number which qualifies them to be shown at crufts for life.

    We are a small family breeder of solid colour cocker spaniels. We bought our dog casey seven years ago and decided that we would love another cocker with her temperament and looks, so we decided to breed from her. In order to do every thing correctly we had her Optigen, Antegene and BMVA tested to make sure we only breed fit healthy pups who would never develope the fatal kidney disease Fn or the eye disease PRCA. We then registered our kennel name with the kennel club.

    The Jayzander affix was granted in 2003 after I was caught by the showing bug. We purchased our 1st blue roan , Norbert, as a pet but thought I would go to a few little shows with him for fun, that was it, I was hooked. I was then on the hunt for my first bought show dog and became close friends with Jean Gillespie, a liason that led to me having an excellent mentor.
    The Jayzander Cockers are predominantly parti-colours with the exception being Georgia.

    We live in the Forest of Dean, Glos and have been showing and breeding particoloured Cockers on a small scale for over 25 years. We only breed a litter occasionally and when we do, health and temperament are our top priorities. All our breeding dogs are eye tested annually under the KC/BVA scheme, hip scored and also now Optigen tested for prcd_PRA & FN tested or are from tested parents. We sometimes have home reared, well-socialised puppies available to carefully vetted homes.

    I am a single handed gamekeeper on a local private shoot and keep and breed working cockers. My dogs are kept busy throughout the shooting season both beating and picking up. I got my first cocker 13 years ago having previously worked Labradors. I found her to be intelligent, quick to learn, dedicated to working and a loyal companion.     'Oscar' is KC registered has a perfect record of health and is clear of any genetically inherited conditions. He has been tested clear of Central Progressive Retinal Atrophy (CPRA) and Generalised Progressive Retinal Atrophy (GPRA) under the British Veterinary Association /Kennel Club/International Sheepdog Society eye examination scheme in Jan 2008. He is also free of any eyelid or eyelash abnormalities. There are no known cases of Hip Dysplaisa in his pedigree and has a straight and firm stance with strong muscular legs, shoulders and neck.
