I am a small kennel in Stockingford near Nuneaton in Warwickshire, I pride myself on the temperaments of my Border Collies. They share their lives with me & my friend. I am very proud of my dogs & rely mainly on my good reputation for finding suitable homes for my puppies when I have any available. I don't breed often, mainly if I am wanting to keep something back. Occasionally I have puppies available, and will be happy to give you any information that you need on giving a Border Collie a loving permanent home. I will always help any owner with any queries or problems that they may have. .... (click to read more)

Clara is first and foremost a family pet, much loved and spoilt in the family home. She works hard when out training and on walks and is keen to learn and play. She is rather cheeky and an adored member of the family.
She was bought from Penny Forster-Cooper, a Sheltysham, with lots of champion show dogs in her line.
Clara first entered the ring in 2015 and is loving the experience. She has qualified for Crufts 2016 but won't be shown as her breeder is the judge.
We breed occasionally in the house with all the usual household sounds, fuss and attention we believe right for healthy, .... (click to read more)

My love of dogs began back when I was a child, my grandparents always had shelties, I always dreamed of having a rough collie when I was old enough. I was never allowed a dog of my own whilst I lived at home so I used to befriend stray dogs and take them home only to be told to take them back to where I had found them.

I now live in Surrey with my husband and four children. I purchased my first dog a Border Collie Berri (Clywdcelyn China Doll) in 2005, she is such a sweetie. I then purchased my second Border Collie Ben (Fernhaven Lasting Legacy at Sweetsox) in 2008 who is a lovely boy .... (click to read more)

I have owned dogs for over forty years and they have always been a big part of my family. We started with a Great Dane and apart from him and a Dalmatian/Labrador I have always had Collies. That was until 2013 when I got Tasha the Tibetan Terrier who is a comedian. Tasha gets on so well with Star and Fern. Star is the mother of Fern and they have always been close. My dogs have been to obedience classes and have the Kennel Club Good Citizen and have worked up to silver. I work with them at home doing the training. Many Darian puppies have gone on to success in Obedience, Working Trials, Agility, Flyball & the show ring, as well as being much loved companions.

The Border Collie is my only breed. I breed my dogs to show, but it is as important to me to get sound temperaments, and good health as it is to get a good show dog. All my adults are eye tested, hearing tested and hip scored. They are also, either DNA tested clear for CEA/CH, TNS and CL, or hereditary clear. Puppies sold are eye tested, BAER hearing tested, and are microchipped before they leave. I only use Stud Dogs that are fully health checked to the same standard as my own, and that have sound temperaments.

  • Gemthorne Australian Shepherd
    Jenny and Mike Harvey

The Gemthorne prefix was established in the 70's with the aim of breeding Border Collies that not only looked good but that where capable of doing a hard days work on the farm.

The name Gemthorne was taken from our first collies name, Nant Thorne Gemma and it was Gemmas death at 16 yrs, that caused us to purchase our first Australian Shepherds. We where looking for a breed that was not only fun to live with but that would fit into farmlife.

We found the perfect breed so we purchased Gibbands Painted lady (Issy) and her brother Gibbands Himalayian Jester (Indie).
