My Name is Audrey Kempton and i've been involved with Border Collies for over 20years.I started out doing obedience and agility but now prefer to show my dogs in the breed ring.All my dogs are pets first and the showing is my hobby.My partner Jim and i currently live in the North East of Scotland , in the Angus glens, with lovely views of the open countryside.We normally have 1-2 litters a year(subject to the girls agreeing to this ) :-) ALL our breeding stock are hip scored, eye tested and Dna tested for Cea, Tns and gonioscopy tested.

I have been involved in the breed since 1985 & the first litter under the Darian affix arrived in December 1987. We are not a 'kennels'. These are our family dogs that live with us in the house.

We usually 1-2 breed litters per year. All puppies are raised in the house so are well socialised and used to children of all ages and other dogs and cats.

All our dogs and puppies enjoy a diet of raw meat, bones and complete biscuit.

I've had a Border Collie since 2006. She is a gorgeous girl with a superb & loving temperament. Carla (Darian Black Pearl)had her first litter in July 2010 (sire - Darian Darqfire) producing four dogs & two bitches from which I have kept a lovely boy, Jack & his sister Bella. A second gorgeous litter of nine, from the same stud dog, arrived December 16th 2011.
All my dogs live with me in a safe family environment indoors.
All my dogs are health tested. My bitch has a hip score of 7/7.

We are a small Kennel and I am a Kennel Club Accredited Breeder.

In 1980 the first collie I owned was a WSD called "Young Meg" who started me off in obedience.

In 1985 and with the help of a good trainer Barbara Pointer we went from beginners to Ch C.

Meg had one litter and all but three of the puppies went to my good friends, at the Tenterden Dog Training Club, to which I was a member.and we kept three.
I was so proud of them.

I own and show my Border Collies and have the occasional litter.I have 4 border collies, 2 girls and 2 boys and have had Border Collies in my life for the past 30 years and in the past 13 years have been involved in showing and had the occasional litter. I health test and hip score my dogs. Any puppies from my breeding are also eye and hearing tested. My dogs are part of the family and live in doors, puppies are also reared in my home so get used to all the every day noises and get the up most care and attention.

I started breeding working collies just over 15 years ago. All of my dogs live indoors as part of the family. My Border Collies who unless too young or too old compete in agility and thoroughly enjoy it.

I breed for temperament from hip scored and eye tested parents. All puppies are eye tested at 6 weeks, wormed regularly and are used to all the hustle and bustle of home life. Most are dual registered and leave here with a puppy pack and insurance.

I aim to breed quality Border Collies and German Shepherd Dogs that that have both drive and working ability, that are sound and athletic and of excellent temperament and conformation.
My dogs are bred primarily for Working Trials but will excel in all dog sports and in the case of the Border Collies should also have the innate ability to work sheep.
All parents will have had all appropriate health tests for the breed such as hip/elbow scores, eye tests and haemophilia.
The Border Collies are KC breed registered AND International Sheep Dog Society Registered too.

Our interest in showing dogs started some 15 years ago after we took in a rescue Lurcher (Greyhound x GSD) and started entering

The Gemthorne prefix was established in the 70's with the aim of breeding Border Collies that not only looked good but that where capable of doing a hard days work on the farm.
