We discovered the Bearded Collie in 1999, as our first blue Beardie Penn-Glas came into our family. It was such a happiness for us and particularly for the children !

His loss arrived much too early but the decision came naturally to us : We had to do what we didn't realise with him ; it was the time to have several Beardies, go to shows and create a small kennel in the respect and love of this wonderful and social pastoral dog with a happy and sensible temperament.

  • Balnaid
    Christine Crossey

    Cornwall

I was introduced to Bearded Collies by a friend nearly 20 years ago, having previously had gundogs. I watched her breed her litters of beardies and eventually ended up with my first bitch, a slate and white, became interested in obedience and later bred three litters from her. I also had a Rough Collie to keep her company and, after a gap, my second blue beardie came along, and again she did obedience, went on to do some agility, and she has now had a litter.
