We aquired our first Basset Lily from Len and Ann Williams (Halzephron) in the year 2000, and since then have been hooked on this wonderful breed.

We are only a small kennel and aim to stay that way. We generally will have a litter perhaps just once a year or every other year depending on if we want a puppy to show.

We enjoy showing, but first and foremost our hounds are beloved pets. We enjoy walks in the surrounding countryside with them .

Our hounds are our life and we always like to hear from people and welcome visitors (by appointment) and we are always happy to .... (click to read more)

Our affix 'Bromwylva' evolves from the country estate of 'Bronwylfa' where we lived when we bought our first Basset Hound. We bought our first Basset in January 2000 after carrying out much research in the breed. Little did we know that 'Bassbarr Dallas Doll At Bromwylva,' Lady, as we called her would go on to win Top Brood Bitch UK 2004, 2008 & 2009. She produced some stunning offspring, one being 'Champion Bromwylva Imperial Mint At Dereheath', 'Minty' who qualified as a champion at just fifteen months and who won Best Of Breed Crufts in 2010. Lady's legacy now lives on with us in her .... (click to read more)

I acquired my first pet basset hound in 1967. In 1969, I bought my first basset of note from Joan Wells of the famous Fredwell kennel and in due course, mated her to a Maycombe Champion; in 1973, one of my bassets gained my first Res CC and a first prize at Crufts as well as a BHC Trophy. Because of my husbands’ work commitments and both of us overseas for 3 ˝ years, breeding and showing remained just a hobby, but on an opportunity basis, we carried on showing and breeding, including when based in Europe. In due course, two litter brothers, B Gunfire and Gunshot, both became champions. .... (click to read more)
