We live in the west of scotland after the decision to purchase a show Akita we done alot of research into the breed to make sure it was the right breed for us. We contacted some breeders got as much information as we could also went to shows to see the type we liked etc. We did not jump in to quick and waited some years before purchasing just the bitch we had been looking for and all the research paid off. We are small show and working kennel and our dogs live with us as part of the family. Our breeding program is very strict and lean on best bloodlines available - mostly German. The goal is to produce rottweilers with a hard temperament, sound nerves, good drives, good hips and pleasing to the eye to look at. The perfect combination is to have the temperament to live as family member and still function as very good working dogs. We doing all we can to avoid health and temperament problems by researching pedigrees and screening parents for certain inherited problems before breeding!
