Ozashi Akitas have been established since 1998, we are a enthusiastic show kennel based in Rugby, Wawickshire, We pride ourselves on breeding and showing dogs with excellent temperments (which is important both in the ring and in the family enviroment). Good bone and substance, aculminating in our homebred Ch Ozashi belongamikki JW shCM and Ozashi Diamonds and Pearls 1RCC and Multi Class winner at both Champ and Open show level, Ozashi Angel Delight 1 RCC and Multi class winner and Ozashi Kubla Kai unbeaten Puppy Dog '09'

My first breed was Dobermanns which I exhibited & bred from 1970 adding Akita's to my kennel in 1985. I award CC's in both breeds and was a committee member & treasurer of North of England Dobermann club for many years.
For the last 15 years I have been on the committee of the Akita Association as Show Manager and this year I was elected to the position of Chairman.

All my stock are hip scored & eye tested

We live in the west of scotland after the decision to purchase a show Akita we done alot of research into the breed to make sure it was the right breed for us. We contacted some breeders got as much information as we could also went to shows to see the type we liked etc. We did not jump in to quick and waited some years before purchasing just the bitch we had been looking for and all the research paid off. We are a small kennel that concentrates only with the akita (the great japanese dog). We are relativly new to the breed having our first akita in 2007, however we have kept dogs since we were very young. We decided that owning and showing akitas was what we wanted to do , fulfilling a passion we had been dreaming about for a long time. We show our dogs first and foremost and occasionally we will breed our females. Our white male is available for stud but to selected bitches only. We make sure that the health and welfare of our dogs is a priority and all medical checks are kept up to date.

We have only been owners of Shibas and Akitas and Long Haired Chihuahuas for a few years. We got our first Shiba in 2005 and our first Akita in 2007. In 2009 we added to our family when we fell in love with a little chocolate long coated chihuahua.
We now have 6 Shibas, 4 Akitas and 7 long coated Chihuahua and couldn't imagine life without our boys and girls.
