Dereheath

Bassets have been a part of our lives for nearly 30 years. We bred the BEST OF BREED AT CRUFTS IN 2006 AND 2008 and have bred or shown 12 UK Champions, 1 German Champion and 3 Irish Champions. We had the Top Basset Hounds in the UK in 2004 (Ch. Bromwylva Imperial Mint of Dereheath) and 2005 (Ch. Dereheath Marcus Aurelius) We were the Basset Hound Club's Breeder of the Year in 2005 and 2007 and Top Breeder in 2001 & 2006. We bred the Top Sire for 2001, 2003 and 2004 and 2006 and the Top Stud Dog in 2005. We bred the Top Puppy in Breed in 1997, 1998, 2000, 2004 and 2006. Ch. Dereheath Marcus Aurelius was the Top Basset Hound Male in the UK in 2007.

Although showing has always played a major part in our life, we enjoy even more time at home spent with our hounds. All our puppies are home reared and finding them the right homes is of paramount importance to us. Consequently, we are always pleased to receive phone calls and/or e-mails asking for our advice or help and are always happy for people to visit us to see our hounds.

We both award Challenge Certificates in Bassets and have enjoyed some wonderful judging appointments abroad including: the Basset Hound Club of California's Championship Show in 2004, the Dutch Basset Hound Club Championship Show in 2005 and the Basset Hound Club of Victoria's Championship Show in Australia in 2006.
