We are a family run kennel situated on the South Coast of England. Our background comes from GSDs but we are now developing within the Malamute world, having fallen for this breed many many years before we bought our first.
Our Malamutes are all worked in harness, they love competeing in the rallies. We have just finished our second working season with them, and have been so very proud of them throughout.
Maverick and Steve completed their season by coming 11th in the Working Malamute Dog Awards run by the AMCUK 2005/6, and 12th in the ABSA Championship 2005/6. During this season we have seen a magical change in our beautiful seal and white boy, and he and Steve have had many good runs coming 7th at Truxton and 8th at Buttersteep
Gandalf and Storm helped Neil achieve 5th place Rookie Musher this year. Gandalf was 13th in the Working dog awards ( AMCUK) and 16th in the ABSA Championship
Storm has spent most of her first season working with our good friends son Mitchell. In their first ever rally coming 4th, but then topping the season off in style getting 3rd at Buttersteep. She was 24th Working bitch.
Two of our Malamutes - Gandalf and Storm are also shown, achieving well deserved success. Although Maverick is a fantastic dog and we are sure a real winner, he doesnt like the ring and we will not force our dogs in to the ring if they dont enjoy it. Our dogs do what they enjoy.
Gandalf was AMCUK 2004 Top Special beginner of the U.K, and joint 3rd top puppy. Although shown less recently he has been an outstanding dog to show, and we have enjoyed every second. Gandalf has had 5 BPIB 1 Working Group One 2 Best AVNSC Working 2 Reserve Best of Breed 18 first places 2004 qualified for Crufts 05 - 8 times 2005 qualified for Crufts 06 - 4 times Gandalf qualifies for Crufts 07 at one of only 6 shows this year to qualify at
Storm is a fantastic mover and free stands beautifully. She is also being shown less recently, and is taking her time to develop but is turning in to a really stunnig girl Storm got 3rd in her class at Crufts 2006 Qualified for Crufts at 7 months old as did Gandalf. 2006 She qualified at the first show of the season, qualifying twice that year. She achieved 1 BOS and 1 Best Of Breed Storm has 16 first places to her name
Jadis is real fun to show, a real bouncy girl with real character and plenty of drive, with far too much to say for herself : ) Jadis has been shortlisted to final 5 for BIS Jadis has been shown very little and has 5 1sts so far
All our dogs are obedience trained, attaining their bronze award good citizens, they reguarly visit the elderly residents where Vicki works and Storm and Gandalf are going to be going through to be PAT dogs. We also hope to try our hands at Obedience shows with them this year.
