Strathculm

This is our family of Weimaraners; Fox, Poppy and Matilda.

We purchased Matilda in 1999, she was not our first dog, but she was our first Weimaraner. Life has never been the same since we brought her home and she has provided us with many headaches and funny stories along the way!

All three of our dogs have very different personalities; Matilda is snooty, believes she is human and thinks to sleep on anything other than our bed is completely beneath her! Pops is sweet, naughty and cheeky and you can't help but love her (probably why she is so cheeky) and Foxy, well he is just our loveable chunky monkey, headstrong, dominant, cuddly and protective - definitely my boy!

Tilly took to being a mum like a fish to water, she was a natural and the result was two very beautiful, healthy litters.

Unlike our other dogs, Tilly has never been very fond of the cats - mutual respect comes to mind. One of the funniest things this year was watching Tilly trying to mother the two new kittens (most unusual) and they spent most of the time looking half drowned where cleanliness was obviously the order of the day.

From the day Charlie Cat came home, Poppy had a new friend. She absolutely loves him, Charlie finally fell asleep on her back.

It is not unusual to see Charlie or Henry curled up with Poppy and Fox in front of the Rayburn and when they get really daring they like to sit on my lap and tap the big grey softies on their noses (very brave!)

What more can I say....my handsome boy!

Our family consists of three Weimaraners, Tilly, Poppy and Fox and our four cats Alfie, Dennis, Henry and Charlie. We live in the country just outside Exeter and are fortunate in that we have the Killerton Estate and Ashclyst Woods on our doorstep and the beach just 20 minutes drive away. Our grounds are just under an acre and we are able to walk straight from the garden down to the Culm Valley flood planes.
