Levagrad

My mother bought her first GSP, Butch, in 1970 having known the breed when growing up in her home country, Belgium.

After Butch died she bought Tina, who became the foundation bitch of the Levagrad kennel. Mum only had a litter of pups when she wanted to keep a pup for herself and always mated to a good-looking dog who worked to the gun.

In 1978 I became involved more with the dogs by showing the 'oldie' while Mum concentrated on the 'youngster'

Her most succesful litter was also her last litter, born in 1987, it produced a full Ch in Ch Levagrad Stob Coire & his sister Levagrad Sail Liath both of whom won awards in the field.

Since the mid 80's we've shown, worked & competed in field trials with our dogs.

I bought Jura (Cloverdell Sea Shell) in 1994 and had many hours of fun with her competing in all the above acitivites as well as competing in working trials at Championship level until a slipped disc in her back curtailed her but right up until the end she enjoyed life to the full.

I have judged working tests.
