I saw my first Belgian shepherd at the age of 13 when I fell in love with the breed after seeing a picture in a magazine. Up until then I had always wanted a rough collie, but this beautiful and elegant breed just took my breath away........ I had to wait however until I was 28 years old before I had ny first Belgian Shepherd, a Tervueren . From that moment on I was hooked....... We had our first Belgian Shepherds from Dave & Carol Rees (PRECILY) and from the beginning were inetreested in the show scene. Over the years we have made numerous good friends in both Belgian Shepherds and other breeds.
I have also been involved in Judging, and after several years am now on the BSDA and Northern Club A1 list and at Manchester Championship Show 2009 I gave my first set of CC's.
In 1994 we had Tara "Talamo Bijou" our foundation bitch from Jenny and Shaun Eaves (TALAMO), and CAIRBAR was born. The name Cairbar comes from arthurian legend and was the name of the place where Cai,(kay) Arthurs brother lived.
Tara went on to have two litters , one of which produced the CC and BIS wining "Tarron" Cairbar Vivaldi's Flame.
Sadly we lost Tara in 2006, but her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren, some of which are featured below.
Puppies are only occasionally available as we only breed every two to three years to continue our line and to keep a puppy for ourselves. We are not a kennel, our dogs are much loved pets and live in the house with us......... All dogs are hip scored and eye tested prior to breeding, and we offer support and guidance throughout the lives of the dogs that we have bred.

Ch Cairbar That Special Touch "Josh" (Ch Domburg love of Africa at Talamo ex Cairbar Winter Touch ) (subject to K.C. approval)
Josh is the young male that we kept from the "Touch" litter, born October 2005. Josh has had a wonderful show career so far. As a puppy he won the National Working and Pastoral Breeds at Malvern's heat of the Pro Plan and Dog World Pup of the Year stakes, enabling him to compete against the top puppies in the country in the final held at The Bedford Corn Exchange in January 2007. Josh was also a qualifier and a heat semi-finalist at the Welsh Top Puppy competition held at Llandrindod Wells in November 2006. A an adult Josh went on to win 5 RCC's before winning his first CC at CRUFTS 2009.
Josh went on win a further RCC at W&PBAW and then two more CC's at WELKS, then gaining his Crown at Birmigham National Championship Show in May 2009. (Josh became a champion in two months and 1 day............)
Many Many thanks to Shaun Eaves for his able handling of Josh and to the judges who have thought so highly of my "Special" Boy |
