I have always lived with dogs and have bred very occassionaly to keep a puppy (springer spaniel). In 2009, I was introduced to Gordon Setters at Lowther Country Fair and was smitten! This beautiful breed, with its silky black and tan coat, flying feathers and elegant movement, was imprinted on my memory. Two years later my faithful old Springer died and I recalled the Gordon Setter. After much research, a suitable puppy was found in Dorset, and she was brought home to the Ribble Valley. Freya is very well bred with American and Australian lines, and shown lightly. She lives in our home with the family and other animals, has a wonderful temperament, combining affection and loyalty with intelligence and curiosity. She has a sensitive nose in field and wood, helped by a little field training.
Freya has been tested for breed problems in accordance with the breed organisatios and Kennel Club requirements.
This includes DNA testing for PRArcd4 and BVA Hip Scoring.

Freya is expecting her first litter in March 2016, primarily because I wish to keep one of her puppies. The litter has been planned around health, appearance and character.
