Annsfarm is a small kennel which started in 1981 although I had grown up in a household that always had one or two Labradors around, and it seemed that every relative I went to visit as a child also had Labradors stretched out in front of the Aga! so Labradors have been a part of my life for over fifty years.
When I started the Annsfarm kennel we only had working gundogs which we trained ourselves to work throughout the winter months and to have fun with during the summer months competing at country shows. We bred the occasional litter of Labrador puppies and also trained two or three dogs each year for other people.
In 1995 I became bitten by the "showing" bug and have bred and shown Labradors for the past ten years, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. I have had dogs qualified to show at Crufts every year since 1996.
In 2006 due to a change in circumstances I have once again started to train Labradors for work in the field. All my dogs are treated as members of my family and undergo the recognised Kennel Club health scheme tests.
