IONIDES ROTTWEILERS

We are Steve & Barbara Basford and we are a very small hobby kennel in the village of Doddington, Cambridgeshire. Steve owned his first Rottie in 1978, a bitch called Naja. In 1993 we bought our first Rottie together, from Sandra and Tony Drinkwater, called Burma, who produced 2 litters. From the 1st litter in 1996 we kept Ionides Black Mystic Magic(Cairo) and caught the "Showing Bug", winning Best Pup in Show at SWECA 1996. We are both on the British Rottweiler Assoc.Committee.Steve has pased the Kennel Club Accredited Rottweiler Judging Course and we are now Accredited Breeders. Our dogs are hip scored through the BVA/KC scheme, DNA Profiled and are permanently identified by microchip. With the intention of helping to introduce new bloodlines into the UK stock, we sourced our current brood bitch ROMA from the NEWGEN Kennels, her parents are French and Yugoslavian imports.
