Megalmar Double Impact JW - CHAD

The Megalmar Kennel was founded in 1992, when I started to share my life with Meg, my first Rottie.
Her son, Megalmar Double Impact JW - Chad - was the start of my show career. A handsome dog with a terrific character, he won everyones heart and was a real ladies man!
Chad sired several show winning offspring who have been placed consistently at Championship Show level. He has 4 CC winning children and at least 3 With res CC's. One of which is an Irish and UK Champion. There are also many others who have Stud Book numbers and have qualified for Crufts for life. He himself was awarded a Res c.c.
Both Chad and his mum Meg were qualified P.A.T. (Pets as Therapy) dogs.
Sadly, Chad and Meg are no longer with us, but they live on in their children and grandchildren.
In 2010 we became the proud owners of our first Newfoundland Merrybear Alejandro from the world famous Merrybear Kennel.

This is Merrybear Alejandro JW (Andro)

Andro is our first Newfoundland, he was bred by Gordon Cutts and Paddy Galvin of the world famous Merrybear Kennel.

Andro has done us all very proud with his achievements in the show ring so far, some of his wins include 3 Best puppy in shows, 1 Reserve best puppy in show, Many best of breed and Group wins and also 1 Best in Show.

He gained his Junior Warrant at 12 months of age and qualified for the Kennel Gazzette junior warant semi finals at Earls Court in November 2011.

Andro may be our first Newfi but he wont be our last - We are smitten.

An Evening out on the beach

Here you can see our dogs enjoying an evening out on the beach in Scotland.

All our dogs interact with each other and get along well.

This is something that is very important to us as they live in our home and not in Kennels so they have to get along and live in harmony.

To us our dogs are family members/pets first and foremost.

The fact we have had some great success in the show ring also is a bonus.

We would not part with a dog that has joined our family just because He/She was not of show quality.

However we do not disagree with anyone who rehomes a dog for the dogs best interests - The dogs needs must always come first.

We love to see dogs from our kennel in the show ring and many have had great success in the ring with there new owners.

We do not breed guard dogs.

Our dogs have such good temperaments they would make useless guard dogs.
