Miz Polyana at Flytesway Hips 5/6 Eyes clear photo by: Paul Wilson | Miz Polyana At Flytesway "Poppy" was my first Chocolate Lab. I had been showing Highland Ponies for several years, but had never shown a dog, till I thought I would have a go with Poppy. At her first Exemption Show she came second out of 30 entries in the Puppy Class and that was me hooked on showing. Since we live in the far north east of Scotland, we dont get to many shows but enjoy what we do locally. Poppy has had a fair amount of success at Open shows and her daughter, Flytesway Kahula "Tia" has followed in her footsteps, beating her mother on several occasions. Poppy has also 2 rosettes for beginners obedience and has passed both Bronze & Silver KC Good Citizens Tests.

Bealltain Lilly at Flytesway Hips 3/7 Eyes clear photo by: Paul Wilson | Mousse is very much a fun dog and would work all day. She has some Field Trial Champions way back in her pedigree. She loves agility and has won a rosette at obedience, but her stays let her down. She has had two litters and she is a wonderful mum. Whenever we have pups she likes to help out. Mousse has now won 2 more rosettes, a second and a third place for obedience and has passed bronze and silver Good Citizen Award.

Flytesway Kahula (on left) Hips 7/7 Eyes clear photo by: Paul Wilson | Tia is our first homebred dog and she has done quite well in the show ring. She was Best Puppy in Breed at Caledonian Canine at Ingliston . She has also been regularly placed at Open Shows. Her movement is very good and she is a natural poser! Tia had her first litter in July 2003, we kept a bitch, Flytesway Fidelity -Chino, who reminds me of her grandmother Poppy. She is very bold, not to mention cheeky and I hope to show her in the near future. Tia has been mated again and expecting her puppies on 20th July 2007. I am looking forward to keeping a bitch from this litter. |
We are a small kennel showing and breeding Chocolate Labradors. I got my first Chocolate Labrador, Poppy in 1998 and immediately became a Chocaholic. We dont manage to get to a lot of shows as we live in the far north east of Scotland, but we do enjoy our local Open Shows. I am very much a believer in Holistic care, all my dogs have been fed a raw diet for the past 2 years and the improvement in their health has been incredible! I use homeopathic & herbal remedies, reiki, flower remedies etc. and do not use any chemical treatments on the dogs except under emergency situations. I feel it is our responsibility to take the very best care of our dogs and that includes finding out exactly what we put on them or in them as they cannot speak for themselves. All our dogs are first and foremost family dogs and if they do well showing it is a bonus. When we sell puppies they must go to loving permanent homes, and we like to be kept informed of their progress. All puppies are sold with Endorsements to prevent irresponsible breeding. New owners get life time support if required, and we will always take a puppy back if for any reason the owners cannot keep it. I would hate to think that a dog I bred ended up in rescue.
