HAMPTON ROLLING STONE TO KINCHYLE

We are a small kennel established in 1978 with the acquisition of my first show Labrador, a black dog, locally bred, but with him I enjoyed my first successes in the show ring. He was followed by a yellow dog from the Rossbank kennel who was my first Crufts qualifier, and also a yellow dog from Gwen Broadley at Sandylands. Two bitches were added shortly after, both Balrion King Frost daughters, a black from Kitty Cumming at Ballure and a yellow from Maurice Givan at Sudeo. This bitch delighted me by winning the Res.CC at Blackpool in 1984. I was totally hooked and remain devoted to the breed to this day.
I have never kept any more than seven or eight dogs at a time but due to business commitments, numbers were reduced until in 2012, I imported from the USA, the beautifully bred black dog, Hampton Rolling Stone To Kinchyle. Mick is a very handsome boy with a temperament to die for. He has done well in the show ring and quickly gained his Stud Book No.
In 2014 I was delighted to welcome from Poland, Babelicious Sarracenia, full sister to Brighton Sarracenia, as a new foundation line, and mated to Mick has produced a beautiful dog puppy with his Dad's good looks, temperament and super movement.
My aim , and always has been, is to produce and keep Labradors of good breed type, with beautiful heads, excellent temperament and good sound movement. They are all health tested.
I judge Labradors at Open Show level, again, business commitments at the time curtailed the progression of my judging career, and I am a Life Member of The Labrador Club of Scotland, previously serving on the committee.
I can't imagine life without Labradors and I hope the next 37 years are as fulfilling as the last.
