We have lived with German Shepherds all our lives and we have held our affix for 15 + years and have also shown our German shepherds for more than half that period at champ show level including crufts with numerous wins to our credit, so we have vast knowledge of the breed. Roger trains our shepherds and is well known and well respected for his unique technique.
We started our own security company quite a few years ago now, we were so busy we had to stop showing, but our first love is the show side of the breed, but we turned our attention to the working side importing new blood from Belgium Germany and Czechoslovakia, and was influenced by the DDR lines, (as the shepherd dog used to be before the search for beauty caused problems with hips, etc.) The Olderhill lines are similar and are in our stud dog 'Ben' for the same reason, and we also love the Tiekerhook lines. So we have brought excellent working animals with brains and character into our kennel, trying to breed a true working shepherd that is a sound working animal free of recessive genes, as the shepherd used to be. We hope that is what you want from the breed too.
Our training is done through play drive, so we all have loads of fun with our training which includes agility, tracking, and man work. Control through praise and repetitiion (without compulsion) and we achieve great results and a good working shepherd.
We adhere to the breeders charter and will turn away anyone who we feel would not be responsible owners.
We grade our puppies at 6-8 weeks so we can find the best possible home for them, and all our new puppy owners sign our documents to say if for any reason they cannot keep the puppy it will be returned to us.
We love our German Shepherds and have a unique working bond and relationship with them.
