MARAVILLA

Perdi (Maravilla Rosita Corazon) & Rama (Rama de la Tarde Gris of Maravilla). Rama was imported from Northern Spain in 2001 from La Tarde Gris Kennel. In Spain La Tarde Gris is the name of a rose which, when it opens, amazes people by it's beauty. Our Spanish Water Dogs continue to amaze us with their loyalty, affection, individual talents and high intelligence. Perdi, daughter of Rama and Cote has proven to be a bold swimmer, is competing at Agility and currently racing with the Rapidz Flyball Team.
She is outstandly good in water and enjoys leaping fearlessly from jetty's into water to tow in anything offered to her.
She is literally the 'Heart of the Rose'

It was a love of this wonderful breed that took us many hundreds of miles to find Cote (Cote de Lorenzijania) Since July 2000 he has been a constant companion, during the day as an established 'office dog'. After office hours he shows very natural working abilities both on land and in the water with strong retrieve instincts.

Chola (Gordneud de Ubrique) a little whirlwind of pleasure. She is has a cheeky and affection nature. She is from a litter whose parents are both proven in working tests in Spain. Last year her dam was placed second in the Working Championships and her sire won the Spanish Working Championship title at Arcos de la Frontera in 2005.

In July 2005, in partnership with Antonio Garcia Perez, we imported Choco (Hihorc de Ubrique of Maravilla). He has the most wonderful temperament and has quickly found a place in our hearts.
Choco has settled into his new family and enjoy's Flyball and Agility. He is a fine swimmer taking his water tests with the SWD Club.
This super all rounder is the father of a litter of 6 pups with Perdi in January 2007.
These offspring are already showing the working ability and fabulous temerament inherited from their parents.

TED - LEONNEUS DE UBRIQUE OF MARAVILLA
Our lastest dog born of Spainsh parents in 2005, Ted is a very promising young working dog with an exceptionally high level of intelligence.
He is training at Agility, Flyball, Water Tests, Obedience and working trials.
He is bold and courageous. We hope to be competing in Spain, with him and Perdi in the future.

Maravilla is committed to retaining the natural working ability of this versatile breed. When we started our dogs were imported from Spain, where the breed has lived and worked with the shepherds and fishermen for many years. More recently they have worked with search and rescue teams where they show amazing natural aptitude, courage and agility.

We hope to promote the breed for this 'inner beauty' which makes them so very special.

Puppies are occasionally available to approved homes.
