**News flash – Claramand Up Front was placed 2nd in Veteran Dog at Crufts**

We are a small kennel situated just outside Cupar, Fife, just off the A913.

My interest in cockers started when I was only 10. My mother brought in her friend's Blue roan puppy. I fell in love with this little puppy and haunted my poor mum's friend to let me take it out for walks. I myself was not allowed a dog of my own because my little sister was allergic to their fur so I had to wait. (I say get rid of the sister! HA! HA!)

Some years later I got my own cocker spaniel, this was FAIRLADY OF FENWICK, pet name KARESS. We bought her from Cath Mason and she came to stay with us in 1985. Unbeknown to me then, this was the start of something bigger. Cath introduced me to the dog show world and that was me hooked. I now thought it was time for me to get another little cocker as company for Karess. I asked Cath to help me find a puppy so she took me to see a litter from Mrs Jamieson.

Bliss was a lovely tri-colour cocker and we all adored her, including Karess. She was 16weeks old when the unthinkable happened, she died. It was a sad day for all of us; we had lost our precious baby girl. That was in 1987, Karess was alone again and she missed Bliss.

Time went by and we recovered bit by bit, day by day. Then Cath came to my rescue again. She took me to see David Todd who had Firline Red Amber with lovely big litter of 12 puppies. From this I received Bon Bon Ebony pet name Bonny.

This little girl was it for me, now I had a beautiful Black Cocker Spaniel. Bonny and I were a team in the ring. We loved it. She won a lot of prizes and we had lots of fun. Soon the time came when we decided to have a litter out of our Bonny so we set out looking for a boy friend. Quetadene Debonair was the man for her, he was perfect for Bonny and she had seven beautiful puppies. From this litter we kept a girl, we called her Bonita, K.C. name KELBONNY GALENA.
