KEVANOR BOXERS
Are a small kennel Exhibiting & Breeding Boxers based in Leicestershire in the
East Midlands & is run by Kevin & Gaynor Jones, We purchased our first Boxer in 1988 from
the Norwatch Sunhawk kennels, a Brindle & White Bitch who we called Emma, Although
never shown or bred from she was the start of our love with the breed & when we lost her
at the age of ten & a half is wasn't long before we had to have another Boxer around the
home.
We started exhibiting in 2000 at Open shows with our pet Boxer Tia & although we had a lot
fun she was no show dog, so we started going to a lot of Championship shows to find the
type of Boxer we wanted to start our own line with & were impressed with the Roamaro
Boxers of Mandy & Richard Laidlaw, especially their Champion Roamaro Holy Smoke (Jake)
& his brother CH Roamaro Fun in the Sun at Walkon (Buzz) owned by Walker & Yvonne Miller.
In 2002 we bought a Brindle & White bitch from Mandy & Richard called Stravogan Zephyr at
Kevanor (Jade), She is very well bred being the daughter of Jake x Roamaro Ellesse at
Stravogan & she is behind all of our show dogs we have here today.
Jade did well for us at Open shows including 4 x Best Puppy in breed, 2 x BOB & Reserve Best
in Show at Grantham & DCS, in 2004 she was mated to CH Susancar Lester Pay & produced a
litter of 8 pups including KEVANOR CASSANDRA (Cassie) A championship First prize winner,
Who became our first Boxer to be campaigned & placed at Championship shows & our first
Crufts qualifier.
In her second & last litter Jade was mated to CH/IR CH Belvern Premenition JW & produced
a beautiful litter of 9 pups, We kept two bitches KEVANOR PRESUMPTUOUS (Shannon) &
KEVANOR PRECEDENCE JW (Keira), both are championship show first prize winners & have
been consistantly placed throughout 2007 in very stiff competition with Keira gaining her
Junior Warrant at just 15 months of age.
