We have a small kennel and are situated on the edge of a village on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. We only have Goldens, currently running at eleven.
They all live in the house with us, Dave, myself and son Paul. When we have puppies maybe, one or two litters a year, they are born in the house, and we spend the first three to four weeks sleeping in the whelping room, to see the puppies and their mum throught the first stages and until we have started to wean them. We encourage visitors to see the puppies once they are about three weeks old, and then again, if possible, to choose their puppy and to see mum, and dad, if we have used one of our own boys, to make sure they are well socialised before they go off to their new homes.
We follow the appropriate health schemes, hip and eyes. (certificates to show) We breed foremost for the wonderfull temperament this breed has to offer, then construction and the other atributes that the breed standard states We also show, and have been successful at open and Champ show level. We showed very little last year, some of our dogs are now getting quite elderly, and we dont like to leave them for too long
I hope to get to a few shows with Floyd and Roxy, and we may get some of the oldies out in veteran classes just fo a bit of fun
As long as the dogs are well and happy thats the main aim
