- Welsh Springer Spaniel
Beagmhor Myrtle Bagot
Beagmhor Gundogs started in 1992 with the purchase of my first Weimaraner. "Poppy" was a great introduction to the breed and a fantastic working Gundog....passing on those qualities to her progeny over the 20 years I experienced within the breed. Poppy and the Weimaraner pups that I kept thereafter were lightly shown...and a home bred daughter of hers gained a "Reserve C.C." I never took the Show side of the breed too seriously -- I preferred to work them.
A year after Poppy came along, I purchased my first Welsh Springer Spaniel and became much more active in the Show Ring.....over the years, two "Show Champions" followed....one of them home bred.
Whilst active within the Gundog Breeds (showing, breeding, shooting and the odd judging appointment) my love of Pointers began. In 2007 I purchased my first Pointer -- "Lyndfil Lady Liberty at Beagmhor"...Lucy won a "Reserve C.C." whilst still a "Minor Puppy" but then her show career was fairly short lived as she didn't enjoy the Show Ring. In 2010 Lucy was mated to "Show Champion Tomlow Brief Encounter" and from that litter I kept a bitch named "Phoebe".
I am passionate about all Gundog breeds but mainly Pointers. I rarely have a litter and the only reason for doing so is to continue my bloodline and to keep a pup. Phoebe has a litter by "Show Champion Millpoint Top Hat N'Tails"......from this litter I have kept two pups --"Brian and Thelma!!"
