Breed notes OUR DOGS 13 th April 2007. written By Jane Rawlinson (Halshimoor Labradors) It was with great sadness I heard of the recent passing of Halshimoor Winter Wishes for Fullwell (Mattie). Mattie was a wonderful bitch, winning at Ch show level, but should really be remembered as an outstanding brood. Mattie was one of only 3 living offspring of Poolstead Pandemonium of Halshimoor, who was herself by Sh Ch Poolstead Pocket Picker out of Sh Ch Poolstead Pipedreamer. Mattie produced only two litters, both to Sh Ch Poolstead Pumpkin. Her first litter of 6 puppies produced Sh Ch Fullwell Freebooter of Halshimoor (Jack), Fullwell Flirt with Halshimoor and Fullwell Fly by Halshimoor (multiple champ show winning bitch). Jack won 11 CC's before he retired at the age of 3 to make way for his younger brother Sh Ch Fullwell Frolic with Halshimoor (Bosley) who went on to win 17 CC's. Between Jack and Bosley there were some notable achievements. Jack won the last dog CC of 1999 at LKA and Bosley won the first CC of 2000 at the Labrador Club of Wales. Twice Jack won the dog CC and Bosley the Res CC and at SKC, Flirt also won the Res bitch CC. Flirt, although she did not reach the heights of her brothers, won 2 Res CC's and herself has produced 3 CC winners in Halshimoor's Einstein, Tickety Boo and Crescendo at Shannorrell. Mattie's influence will be felt for some time in our kennel, not just in the achievements of her offspring, but the characters as well. She produced truly wonderful dogs to live with, great characters who shared her happy outlook and great sense of humour. They could never believe a human would do them harm and enjoyed making new friends (both canine and human). Mattie who was also a much loved family pet will be missed by Glenys and Sam Fryer (Fullwell) and everyone who knew her.
Also Show Champion Fullwell Frolic With Halshimoor Sadly recently passed away far too young Rest in peace Dear Bosley a super Show dog But above all a friend to everyone xx
Article Labrador Breed notes "OUR DOGS" 26th May 2008
Our Dogs:
Sad news from The Rawlinson Family “Halshimoor” who have to say their final goodbyes to their classic black dog Show Champion Fullwell Frolic with Halshimoor Jiunior Warrant Born, May 1997. Jane and Mark Write Bosley was one of the kindest dogs we will ever have the good fortune to own. Whilst he will be known for his winning in the show ring we will always know him a good friend. He loved to play with children and as one of the house dogs (wildfire) being the other his favorite game was tug of war with our Daughters and Wildfire .He never won !. Bosley was from the second litter Of Halshimoor Winter wishes for Fullwell and bred by Glenys Fryer both her litters were By SHCH Poolstead Pumpkin. Her first produced Show Champion Fullwell freebooter at Halshimoor, (Jack) and in the second litter Bosley. In total he won 17 CCs and many reserve CCs. His career was quite old fashioned. He was a big raw baby who matured with time and improved each year. He won all his graduates, post graduates and limit classes before he made up and did not start his big winning until he was four years old. His notable achievements were to win the first CC of 2000 at the Labrador club of Wales “his first CC”. Best in show, at the Labrador Club championship show in the same year. Dog CC at Crufts 2002 which was one of his lucky shows. He won Best puppy the first year at Crufts and Veteran class in the last year. He won his last CC at Bath in 2006 which was his third as a Veteran. He also won a Group 2 and Group 3. We will dearly miss him and wish we had him longer he leaves a big hole in our Household. He was everything we feel a Labrador should.
I will Lend
I will lend to you a pup, God said, For you to love him while he lives and to mourn him when he is dead. Maybe for twelve or fourteen years or maybe two or three but will you, till I call him back take care of him for me?
He'll bring his charms to gladden you and (should his stay be brief) you'll always have his memories as solace for your grief. I cannot promise that he will stay, since all from earth return, But there are lessons taught below I want this pup to learn.
I've looked the whole world over in search of teachers true And from the folk that crowd life's land I have chosen you. now will you give him all your love Nor think the labour vain Nor hate me when I cometot take my pup back again And should I call him back much sooner than you've planned Please brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand
I fancied that I heard them say "Dear Lord, Thy Will be Done," For all the joys this pup will bring, the risk of grief We’ll run. we will shelter him with tenderness And love him while we may And for the happiness we will know forever grateful stay When Our much loved dog Leaves this world of strife We will get another dog And love him all his life

"Rest in peace my 100 mile and hour dog"
Is your Heart.
Do you think your heart is big enough to store the love he gives this handsome pup you've just aquired in the short time that he lives Do you think your heart is wide enough to store up all the pride Of the handsome dog,all grown up as he walks out by your side And will your heart be strong enough to cope with all the pain When the time has come to say goodbye You cant see him again Well when my hearts no longer strong and my life comes to an end There will be a celebration, cos i'll see my friend again As I take my walk on heavenly shores I know that I will see That familiar face, that wagging tails Waiting there for me.
