Dexter has a Reserve Challenge Certficate and his Show Gundog Working Certificate.

He had a Hip Score of 6:6 and held current clear eye certificates for life.

His latest progeny have started showing and have already started collecting awards, as well as being a joy to live with.

Dexter has not been shown recently because his love of lying next to the radiator has ruined his coat and he looks more like a fluffy bear than a Golden Retriever.

His daughters Georgie and Riva are owned by us and we have had some sucess with his grandaughters out of these bitches.

He was withdrawn from stud in his 10th year.

Wispa has gained her Show Gundog Working Certificate and has won well at Championship and Open Shows.

She has won awards in working tests and picks up regularly in the shooting season.

She is the mother of Gaytonwood Genevieve and grandmother to Gaytonwood Dazzler JW and Gaytonwood Sugar Plum.

Georgie is the daughter of Dexter and Wispa.

She has done well in the show ring and has produced three litters. Her daughter Gaytonwood Victoria of Southernhay has gained her Junior Warrant and a Reserve Challenge Certificate and Gaytonwood Dazzler, her daughter from her second litter has gained her Junior Warrant and had a very sucessful show career with many Best Puppy awards.

Dazzle's father is Kennelridge Stroller (CH Stanroph Shogun ex Kennelridge Forget Me Not, Hip Score 3:3 and current clear BVA Eye Certificate) and we repeated this mating and kept Gaytonwood Sugar Plum.

Georgie had her final litter to Eyevalley Highland Flynn for Gaytonwood in 2003 and she now lives a life of settees and TV.

Vegas has been regularly placed at the open and Championship shows he has attended.

He has a hip score of 8:4 and a current clear eye certificate.


Vegas was taken from us by an accident in 2003. Our lives will never be the same.

We are a small kennel that breeds the occasional litter.

Although we show and compete with our Goldens we also have working bred labradors who help out in the shooting season.

All our dogs live as family and have lovely temperaments.
