After many years competing in obedience with crossbreeds and puppy walking for Guide dogs,it was decided to get our first Flat Coated Retriever in the late eighties.
Gemswin was born ,we breed for type and more importantly temperament,with the view that most of our puppies are placed in pet homes.
All our dogs here are hip and eye tested and only the soundest are bred from.
All our dogs live in the house , have lots of free running in glorious rural hertfordshire and generally enjoy life...a lot!
In the short time we have been breeding we have bred 1999's top winning dog in CH Gemswin Perhaps Love and another Champion in the form of Sh Ch Gemswin Abracadabra, along with other CC and Rcc winning dogs.
We have provided many people with happy biddable working dogs,( in obedience,agility and gundog work)including two going to the Dogs for the Disabled.
All puppies bred here are microchipped before they leave and we will also microchip any litters of puppies sired by our stud dogs.
