Breeders of:

  • German Shorthaired Pointer
  • Labrador Retriever

I have a small kennel of GSP's and Labradors, I bought my first Lab. in 1979, my first GSP in 1982 and my foundation GSP bitch Geramers Audacious in 1985, I now have the 4th generation at home. Being married to a gamekeeper means the priority is work first, show later, I like to feel that my 'working dogs' are good enough to show. Several have had success in the ring, two boys gaining their Sh.Ch. title. I know what the dogs prefer though, our season starts with grouse in September and this is closely followed by the pheasant days, it never fails to amaze me how the dogs bounce back day after day as soon as you put a pair of breeks on.

Heathermark Amethyst ( Ruby )

Heathermark Amethyst ( Ruby )

Ruby is a very sweet natured bitch and is a mainstay in my working team, she loves her work and much prefers this to the show scene.
Ruby has given me Marley ( H. Fulmar) who is so much like his Gt.Gt. uncle Arran ( Insignia), he is now going into his 3rd season.

Birkenwald Borris at Heathermark ( Borris )

Birkenwald Borris at Heathermark ( Borris )

Borris is now coming up to his 4th season as a working dog. He has proved himself to be a real asset. He is a quiet worker, he copes very well in a ' hot spot' and is a sensible and gentle retriever. He is happy in water, cover or open ground. He has the ability to go 'up the gears' very quickly when the need arises, and is very adept at working out any obstacle he meets.
I have found his temperament to be immpecable in any company or situation and he is the most loving of dogs.
He passes his traits on to his stock and has produced some excellent working dogs.

Heathermark Paperchase ( Holly )

Heathermark Paperchase ( Holly )

Holly is the experienced hand here and is now 11 years old, having reached the age of 'knowing better' than Mum, but is still fit and ready for the 11/12 season. She has been a real asset on shoot days and has had her fair share of success in the show ring as well. Mother to many good working dogs including my own Ruby and Diva.

H. Kaleidoscope, Diamante, Graffiti, & Insignia

H. Kaleidoscope, Diamante, Graffiti, & Insignia

The 'Golden Oldies' - left to right - Clover, Mona, Graf & Arran. Clover was my husbands dog, so in line with most keepers dogs she didn't grace the ring often but was a sound worker. Mona was our cat in disguise, having several close brushes in her life including a broken neck at the age of 4, she was back working though by 6 and carried on well into her teens, Graf was Mona's son, he was an exuberant sort, gained his show title and was a most enthusiastic worker, he took great pleasure in outstripping the odd Labrador in the river !! Arran, another on Mona's sons, he was my 'best friend' , always there when needed out shooting, never giving me a minutes grief, a kind, gentle dog who also gained his show title.
